Dexlynn (Dex) made a huge mistake with an asshat. A huge mistake. He was ready to start college the next fall and really get his life going until one idiotic night changed everything. Now he was stuck. Stuck with the asshole who got him pregnant.
"Damn! I just can't get it." I sighed "Here let me try..." "No! I'm not letting you bend over and try to buckle this dumb thing in." Elliot backed out of the car. I gave him a pitying smile. I wrapped my hand around his middle and looked up at him. "It's alright, we have no idea what we are doing. Why don't we ask someone?" Elliot raised his brow. "Yeah like who?" "Like~" I looked around the parking lot not seeing very many people. "Him!" I pointed to a man carrying a baby car seat and a women following close behind holding a little girls hand. "I don't want to bother him..." Elliot. You big idiot. "Then I will." I walked slowly over to the family waiting for them to get situated. Before I got to ask the women turned around. "Do you need something honey?" She was probably about 30 but was drop dead gorgeous. Damn, he got lucky. "I am so sorry to bother you but do you have any idea how to buckle the car seat in? My-" Wait. What was Elliot to me? I mean we are together but are we engaged? Are we just dating? I don't remember him asking me to marry him but who knows Elliot doesn't come out and say things well. "My partner and I are struggling. It's our first baby and don't really know how to do it." "Yep. My husband can help you I completely understand it took us at least an hour to get it in correctly." "Thank you so much!" The husband followed me over to our car. Elliot was standing there on the phone about something. Most likely work. "Yeah sorry I'll call you back." Elliot noticed us approaching and hung up the phone. "Sorry, work." "This wonderful man is going to help us." Elliot shook his hand smiling. "Thank you so much." He nodded and quickly buckled the seat into the car. "You did that fast." "Years of experience. This is a nice car." Elliot had bought a better "family car" as he put it a while ago. I thought maybe he would get a van or something but he bought a Range Rover. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love it but it was definitely not what I was expecting. I laughed a little. "He has a good job." He nodded slightly. He looked at Elliot. He had been looking at Elliot almost this entire time. He just stood there. We thanked him again but he didn't move to walk away. "Ok! Well we need to go get our son you should probably head back before your wife gets upset." He nodded slightly again. "Are you ok?" I slapped Elliot on the chest. "Dont say that!" He put his hands up in defense. "It was just a question." "You are pretty." I was completely thrown off. What did he say?! I snapped my head towards him. "What did you say?!" I stepped closer to him. "That's MY partner, MY baby daddy, MINE! Thank you for your help but respectfully , FUCK OFF." He scoffed and walked away. I was flabbergasted. I can't believe a person we don't know at all would say something like that at a HOSPITAL. He knew we had a baby. HE has a FAMILY. Elliot grabbed my hands and lead me back inside the hospital. I hate that man. I understand why he would say it because Elliot is very beautiful but in front of his partner?! "Dex! I've been calling your name. Is everything ok?" I pouted. I know I'm acting like a child but I'm upset. "Are you jealous?" "So what if I am?" Elliot chuckled and wrapped his arms around me. "You are so cute." "Hmph!" I walked away from him and back to my room. Cate and Tyler were both cooing at Arlo when I walked in. They really will be the best aunt and uncle. "Are you ready to go?" I nodded and Cate placed Arlo in his carrier carefully covering him up. "I made a bottle and put it in the side of the diaper bag." I walked over hugging both Cate and Tyler. "You guys really are the best. Love you." "We love you too! Now go go!" Elliot came over and picked Arlo up. He's keeping his distance because he knows I'm mad. We walked out of the hospital in silence and got into the car. We finally are going home. I really missed sleeping in my own bed. "Ready?" "Ready." Elliot began to drive and about half way through Arlo started to get fussy. "We're almost home buddy!" It took longer than I expected. I wasn't exactly sure where the new house was but it was about 20 minutes outside the main city. As we pulled into the driveway Arlo was full on crying. Elliot pulled him out of the car and carried him quickly inside sitting the carrier down on the couch. I took my time walking inside looking at the house. When I walked in the inside was breathtaking. I have no idea how he decorated so perfectly. "Dex could you hand me his bottle?" I looked for his bag and pulled the bottle out handing it to Elliot. He fed Arlo quite easily and he stopped crying. "Want to go see the nursery?" I nodded excitedly. Elliot walked down the main hall and up the stairs at the end going into the room on the first right. "I already had it painted but Cate and Tyler did a phenomenal job setting it up." He was right, they did. I started to cry a bit. I had so many people around me who really truly loved me and my baby. I gave both Elliot and Arlo a kiss. "I love my two boys so much."
