A/N: sorry for the bomb chapter. Lol. Was sleep deprived. XD

So uh, yeah. I have finals tomorrow, and throughout the week so...I don't even know. Here's the chapter.

"Hey Scott! Your phone is ringing!" Kevin called from downstairs. I could faintly hear Beyoncé's song "Halo" play, signaling a call from Mitch. I stopped the treadmill, and grabbed the towel hanging from the wall bar as I made my way to the stairs.

"Answer it while I get water," I huffed, trudging to the fridge to raid Kevin and Avi's stash of imported spring water. Kevin picked up my phone and answered as I brought a bottle to my lips, taking in a big gulp of cool magical water.

"Hey Mitch! Yeah, Scott's here, he was taking a run. He's kind of sweaty now, but-"

"No I can talk," I said, pressing the speaker button on the screen. I wiped my face with the towel while I waited for Mitch to respond.

"Hey, Scott?"

"I'm here," I answered.

"Hey. Where were you this morning?"

"I thought I texted you like fifteen minutes ago and told you I was at Avi and Kevin's." I sent somebody that.

"Nope."

"Oh...I sent that to Alex...I'm sorry, Mitchie." I heard him sigh loudly from the other end. Well shoot, now my boyfriend and my best friend are mad at me. What's new.

"Yeah whatever," he sounded annoyed. "Oh. Alex told me to tell you to contact him once I find where you are. He has something to tell you, I guess." I grunted quietly to myself.

Going over to Alex's house always meant staying the night. Like, he was only a student, but damn. When I'm over, he's studying more than just history.

"Does he need me over? Or can I just catch him at Starbucks?" I asked.

"Beats me. He said call me."

"I...okay. Wanna go for Chipotle for lunch?" I asked, taking another swig from my water bottle.

"No, thanks. You and Alex go do whatever. I'm having cereal at home," he said, more annoyed than before. I rolled my eyes. Mitch is in a mood.

"Are you okay, Mitchie?" I asked.

"Just fine. Peachy," he answered. "Look, Scott. I have to go. Making a video. Bye." With that, he hung up before I had a chance to say goodbye. He so obviously made up shit about some video. He and I do those together. And besides, I edit those things.

Kevin and I exchanged glances as the phone screen went black.

"What'd you do to piss him off?" He asked. I shrugged.

"I didn't know I did anything. Well, I snuck out, but why does that matter?" Kevin shrugged. "There has to be more behind his mood. Now you need to call Alex before you get both of them mad at you." He set the phone on the table, and walked briskly down the hallway. I sighed before I picked up my phone again and dialed Alex's number. He picked up three rings in.

"Hello?"

"Hey, babe."

"Scott. Glad you decided to come back up to the surface."

"I'm really sorry. I was at Avi and-"

"I know." He was already pissed.

"Mitch told me that you had something to ask me?"

"Will you come over? I'd rather tell you in person."

"Am I in trouble," I asked.

"No, babe. I just have some stuff we need to talk about."

"...Okay. As long as I get to pick up food for myself. I'm starved," I said. He chuckled.

"You want coffee, before I leave here?" I heard a blender start from his end.

"Yes, please. See you soon?"

"See you soon. Love you."

"I love you to, Alex." And that was the second time I'd been hung up on today.
