Author's POV*

The little one was brought to the hospital to see his sister... He went to the place where she was kept with Sid and they saw Riyaz already standing there... He couldn't take his eyes off his daughter; he couldn't help but feel extremely happy and overwhelmed... Sid pointed at the baby girl and Sam saw her little sister for the first time...

Sam: She is so tiny...

Sid: Yeah, she is...

Sam: Why can't I see her from nearby? I want to hold her in my arms...

Sid: Because she is very tiny and sensitive right now, sharing the same rooms with her might be risky as she might get infected...

Sam: Oh...

He was watching and observing the little girl when his eyes laid on his father, who was doing the same... He couldn't help but get a little curious seeing him... He extended his arm and knocked on his leg, making his father look at him...

Sam: Are you happy?

Aly: I am very happy...

Sam: We-were you happy when I was born...

Aly: Very... I was so, so, so happy; I didn't only distribute sweets to the whole hospital but made them eat from my own hands ...

Sam: Why didn't you distribute sweets for her?

Aly: I will, we will once we see your mom wakes up and gets her daughter in her arms, we will... 

Sam: Why not right now?

Aly: Because you shouldn't get excited before it-

Sam (interrupted): Happens... Mumma too says the same...

And then Sam went quiet, he was told that her mother got very tired and she is taking a nap... This little conversation gave Riyaz confidence to start a conversation with him...

Aly: Have you thought of a name for her, yet?

Sam: I do have a list...

Aly: Can I see it?

And Sam took out a white, a little crushed paper from his pocket and gave it to Riyaz... He opened it to see a few names written in big, messy, baby handwriting... His eyes immediately went wet... He read the names and looked at Sam, he extended his arm to creese his cheek but Sid pushed his arm aside... He looked at Riyaz angrily...

Sid: Sam, baby can you go to your mamu?

Sam: Okay...

And he left... And Sid snatched the list of names from him...

Sid: Don't try to take advantage of this vulnerable moment... Stay away from him...

Aly: I am not-

Sid (interrupts): Save this for some other day and don't pretend that you give a shit...

Aly: What I don't understand is, why do you give a shit? What are you to her and don't give the best-friend bulshit... 

Sid: Ya of course you will question my attentions, people like who thinks that everyone is like them... 

Aly: Are you trying to sleep with her or something?

Sid: Shut up, have some shame... Let me just make this very clear mister, I respect Avneet and I won't hear any nonsense about her, and nor will I appreciate you fooling around her kids...

Aly: Her kids? They are my kids too...

Sid: I don't recall any father treating their kids like you treat Sam...

Aly: No matter what I do, no matter how nicely I behave you are never going to respect me, will you?

Sid: You fucking slept with my wife and you talk about respect...

Aly: I love her and that is why I spelled with her...

Sid: Oh fucking stop already, I am so done with this love bulshil... You being in love doesn't give you the right to cheat other people and you dare agree on that... 

Aly: Listen-

Sid (interrupted): Oh, you listen, Mr. Riyaz Aly, I know that you have done something unlawful to Avneet... They saw something that she was hesitant to say, something that could help her get Sam's custody very easily... Now, if I ever saw you speaking shit about her or her family or even trying to come near to them, I am going to press charges on you... I don't fucking care about what Anushka will think or what she will have to go through... That girl there, she is my best friend and I will fucking protect her at any cost... So, you better think twice before doing anything... Go home, you will be called if you are needed somewhere, okay?

And he patted Riyaz's chest before leaving him alone... He knew it was a hospital and it is not even the best time to say all this but he had to, he was so done with that man... He has failed once to protect people he cares for but he won't fail again... As Sid was turned the turn to reach where others were he saw Jai standing there with a proud look on his face...

Jai: Thank You...

Sid: I was needed... 

Jai: I should have been the one saying him all those things but I didn't...

Sid: It's okay, you already have a lot in your mind right now plus I hate it more than anyone does... He broke my family...

Jai: You are young, handsome, and smart Siddharth, you will find the one for you...

And he smiled in tiny... Siddharth's words have embarrassed Riyaz, he isn't feeling guilty even yet but these words do make an impact; well at least enough for him to leave immediately... 

24 hours later, Avneet still wasn't conscious... The atmosphere had this tension that no one wanted to talk about... Sid and Jai were waiting for the doctor impatiently... When she finally came...

Doctor: She has no improvements... She has lost a lot of blood and her pulse is very weak... There isn't much we can do rather than give her blood and keep her on oxygen... There are no other complications, her internal organs are doing fine... There is nothing much we can do medically, she needs some positive vibes, some good energy around her... I want you to pray for her and wish her speedy recovery...

And she left not giving the boys a chance to speak...

How was the chapter?

I have no idea if that makes sense medically... I just hope it is not completely illogical and doesn't look like medical treatments in daily soaps...
