*Author's POV*

Avni: Hi...

Reem: Hii... (confused) What are you doin- Why are you wearing a hospital gown- oh- wait, did you deliver? 

Avni: I did, three weeks ago, she is a premature child...

Reem: She?  *smiles* Congratulations...

Avni: Thank You, what are you doing here?

Reem (scared): Um...

Avni: What is the matter?

Reem: I-I came to see you...

Avni: You didn't even know that I delivered, stop lying... Is everything okay? Is everyone okay? Is mom, dad, okay? Are you fine?

Reem: Avneet, papa, he had a heart attack...

Avni: What? How? How is he?

Reem: It was been 3 weeks, so, he is fine now... I am here for his daily checkup...

And tears spill down her eyes... In those few seconds, she thought that she had lost her father forever... She has been hiding from him as she is ashamed of what she did but today her shame weighed nothing in front of her father's life...

Avni: Where is he?

Reem: He- I am not sure he will be happy seeing you...

Avni: I don't care, I want to see him... 

Reem: You should go back to your daughter...

Avni: Sam and the nurse are there with her... Please, Reem, I need to see him, I need to see if he is, okay?

Reem might be reluctant right now, but this is what she has wished for... She wished for Avneet to fight for her family and today seeing her do that melted her... She agreed to take her to their father... Avneet looked at her father from a window as a doctor was checking his blood pressure... She touched his face through the window as tears flow uncontrollably down her eyes... She saw him standing up and she took a step back, giving them space to open the door... And as soon as the door opened a father's eyes laid on her daughter... He looked at his crying daughter, she looked weak and pale and wore a hospital gown... Before he could react, she got on her knees, bowed her head down and touched his feet... She was ashamed and sorry and she begged for the forgiveness that she knew that she didn't deserve... This made both Aman and Reem emotional... Reem was crying but Aman held back his tears, he maintained a poker face even if all he wanted was to hug her daughter and forgive her... Avneet's head touched his feet, which were now wet by her tears... Her lower region hurt but she cared less, all she could think of right now was to apologize to the man who created her...

Aman: Reem, tell her to stand up...

Avni (cries): Papa... I am sorry... I am sorry... I am really sorry...

Aman (loudly): Reem, tell her to get up... 

Reem: Avneet...

And she bends down to make Avneet stand up but Avneet refuses to do so...

Aman: Tell her to stop making a scene, we are in a hospital...

Avni: Papa, please...

Reem: Avneet, get up please, it is not good for...

But she didn't get up until Aman stepped back and walked past her... She saw him from behind and called him out...

Avni: Papa, please... I heard about the attack and- please...

This all was happening when Jai came there calling his dad but his eyes laid on Avneet who was on her knees and he ran to her making her stand...

Jai: What are you doing? You would hurt yourself... 

Avni: Why didn't you tell me?

Jai: ......

Avni: Why didn't you tell me?

Jai: You were in labor and you know what happened next... You weren't in the right condition to hear that... 

Avni: You should have told me; I know I am not the best daughter but if- *broke down*...

Jai: I am sorry, but now you both are safe, you both are out of danger and I know that everything is going to be fine now... Papa, you have a granddaughter now... She is so tiny and so pre-

Aman (interrupts): Reem, take me home...

Jai: Papa, what are you saying... I know that what she did wasn't fair but she has compensated for her mistakes... She has compensated more than she needed to, forgive her now...

Aman: Forgive her and then what?

Jai: Then what, what? We welcome her and her kids back into the family...

Aman: Does this girl even value family?

Jai: She named her daughter after your mother... Her name is Jaya Nandra and you think she doesn't value family?

Aman (loudly): Jai *starts coughs*

Avni: Papa...

And she rubbed his back...

Avni: I-I will go, you don't have to take the stress... I am going and I won't show you my face again...

And she left ignoring Jai... Tears flowed down her eyes as she made her way back to her room... She wiped her tears before entering as Sam and a nurse were there...

Sam: Mumma, when will she wake up... I am getting bored; I want to play with her...

Avni: Baby, little babies sleep like a horse, so, you have to tolerate that until she is a little big... 

Sam: And you won't wake her up if she sleeps for too long?

Avni: No...

Sam: Wow, I wish I was a little baby too... Life is so tough when you grow up...

Nurse: *chuckles* he is so cute...

Sam: *cheekily* I know right... 

Avni: Oh, drama queen, you sleep 10 hours in a day...

 Sam: But I play and study for other 14 hours so, I deserve the sleep... All she does is eat food and sleep... 

Avni: When you were this small, you too did the same...

Sam: I want to be small again, then... *pouts*

Avni: And I want to be spiderman...

Sam: *laughs* You are funny... *serious* Mumma, mamu said that after the baby is born we will move to grandpa and grandma's house, so, when we are going?

And she went quiet... How will she tell her baby that his grandparents doesn't want him and the reason is his mother and her desicion to marry his father?
