And her voice broke, so Aly squeezed her hand and gave her an assuring nod...

And she nodded, before taking out some forms...

And she left saying that leaving Riyaz and Avni alone to read all the forms... She read everything and filled in her details but when she was about to sign, her hands started to shiver... The voices of all the happy mothers she heard on YouTube, whose kids had down syndrome played in her mind... She has been researching and trying to get to know about people who have down syndrome; she did see considerable cases where they were happy and did everything like any normal being but she also felt how difficult it might be, she also saw them suffer, she also heard the things they have to hear- things which scared her enough to get on this decision... She thought that those suffering weigh more, she had a steady mind but then why is she confused now, but then why does all the suffering feel nothing in front of the feeling of bringing a life into this world, a feeling of giving someone a chance to life a happy life... She might sometimes have to put Sam second, and that might hurt him but the pain he will feel when he comes to know that she is not going to have a sister would be a lot greater... Is she taking her decision, emotional again? Yes, is there a chance that she might regret it later? Yes- but will that stop her from making this decision? let's find out...

Riyaz: Avneet...

Avni: I don't think I can...

Riyaz: You have thought this through, and if you came to this conclusion then there might be a solid reason, why change of heart now...

Avni: I have 2% chance that she might be normal and even if not, she still will be same, she still will be my daughter just with an extra chromosome... I have seen people with down syndrome following their dreams, getting a job, getting married and having a perfectly normal life... Our daughter can too, she might be slower but she will get there... Even if it means for me to put extra efforts, for her to fight from some stupid people- I will do it, we will do it... We aren't this week... We are not this week...

Riyaz: I will support whatever decision you take, but decide wisely, I don't want you to regret it later...

Avni: I don't want to lose her Riyaz, I can't lose her... Even with syndrome, she is still my daughter, she is still my little princess...

Riyaz: You have to give her all your time then and with your job-

Avni (interrupted): I will figure that out or quit the band or maybe record my part... I will do anything but I won't give her up, I won't give up on her...

And with that decision, the glow on her face returned... There are so many NGOs that support such woman... There is a whole community of people with down syndrome... There are people who have accepted it gracefully... There is help and support and love... She just needs to find them; she just needs to hold on to her hopes and courage, and everything will be fine... They then told their decision to the doctor and she started to mention the risks and chances of what could happen and what not, to prepare them for what they were going to face... At last, she wished her luck and gave her prospectus of a few organizations that work of these cases, along with the contact number of the mothers who gave birth to children with down syndrome... And then they left...

Riyaz: She is very lucky to have you...

Avni: I am very lucky to have her...

Riyaz: Aren't you scared?

Avni: Very, but I will get through it...

Tring-Tring... It was Anushka calling Riyaz, he silents the call and focused on driving but Avni saw the caller id...
