Y/N P.O.V

We landed at the Avengers base we called home around 2 years ago. We immediately go out of the quinjet, and I look around. It feels weird being around here. Nothing has change except the circumstances. We went inside and I immediately notice that nobody is trying to stop us. How much is this thread anyway to leave the base without any guards? We currently walk through the hallways. Wanda and Sam are helping Vision out with the walking. We arrive in an empty conference room. We look around, but there is only a silence.

"There is nobody here." Steve says while looking around, and so did we.

"We should search around more." Nat suggested.

"You don't have to do that." We all hear a crisp voice from the other room. We all look where it comes from and see Bruce Banner, one of the first Avengers and the one that got missing after the battle of Sokovia. "Yeah. I'm back."

"Hi, Bruce." Nat greets him.

There is a short silence before Bruce replies back. "Nat."

There is another silence till I hear Sam muttering in the background. "This is awkward."

I look back at him. "I feel I'm missing a lot."

We all went to another room. Vision is leaning against the wall and the rest of us are across the room.

"So, we gotta assume they're coming back, right?" Bruce asks. "And they can clearly find us. We need all hands-on deck. Where's Clint?"

We all look at each other in silence, awkwardly. "...He didn't make it." Nat responds awkwardly.

"Oh..." Bruce responds. "I guess that leaves it to us."

"What about Stark?" Pietro asks.

"He's in space, saving... a guy that has one of the infinity stones with a kid named Spider-Man." Bruce answers.

I look at him in shock. "My dad is in space?!"

"Dad?!" He looks at me confuse and look around the rest of the team. "I thought I was gone for 3 years, not 18!"

"Don't worry, we discovered that 3 years ago." Steve reassures him.

"That includes Stark too." Nat comments.

Bruce looks at the both of them, still confused, but soon drops it. "You know what, you can tell me about it later."

"I'm Y/N by the way." I give him a short wave.

"Bruce." He responds back awkwardly.

"Can we talk about what we do next?" Sam says tiredly at us.

"Right." Bruce says. "Okay, look... Thanos has the biggest army in the Universe. And he is not gonna stop until he... He gets...Vision's stone."

"Well then, we have to protect it." Nat says.

"No, we have to destroy it." We all look at Vision of what he says. "I've been giving a good deal of thought to this entity in my head," He points towards the stone. "about its nature. But also, its composition." He walks towards Wanda. "I think if it were exposed to a sufficiently powerful energy source, something, very similar to its own signature, perhaps... Its molecular integrity could fail." He looks deep into her eyes.

"And you, with it. We're not having this conversation."

"Eliminating the stone is the only way to be certain that Thanos can't get it." Vision tries to reassure her.

"That's too high a price." She argues back in a quiet tone.

"Only you, have the power to pay it." He says to her, which she turns around and walks away to another side of the room. "Thanos threatens half the Universe. One life cannot stand in the way of defeating him."

"But it should. We don't trade lives, Vision." Steve says to him.

Vision walks towards Steve. Steve also walks to Vision as well. "Captain, 70 years ago, you laid down your life to save how many millions of people. Tell me, why is this any different?"

Steve takes a breath, wanting to answer but didn't get a chance.

"Because you might have a choice." Bruce speaks up. "Your mind is made up of a complex construct of overlays. Jarvis, Ultron, Tony, me, the Stone. All of them mixed together. All of them learning from one another."

"You're saying Vision isn't just the stone?" Wanda asks.

He looks towards her. "I'm saying that... If we take out the stone, there's still a whole lot of Vision left. Perhaps the best parts." Bruce speculates.

Nat looks intrigues. "Can we do that?"

"Not me. Not here." Bruce answers.

"Well, who can do it?" Pietro asks. "Stark is in space. Is there any other crazy scientist who can make this work?"

There is a short pause before we hear an answer from Steve. "I know somewhere."

When Steve begins to explain where we're going, I sneak off towards my and Pietro's old room for searching my mother's grimoire. I don't really have to know where we are going when we're going to fly there. I'm currently in the Avengers quarters, searching our room till I find it. I try to open it, but the door is locked. I grab my gun and shoot an electrical bullet at the keyhole. The keyhole begins to show electricity. Knowing that the door isn't automatically lock thanks to my dad's tech, I kick the door and it opens. I look around to for a minute. It's been so long since I have been here. The bed looks all clean up, and so did the room.

I walk towards the nightstand and see the photo of Boreas. I pick it up and look at it. "God I wish you were with me now." I say quietly. I remove the picture of the frame and put it in my pocket. I then look at in the drawers. However, I don't see the grimoire. "Damnit! Where is it?" I mutter to myself. I continue my search at the other nightstand. There is nothing. I look under the bed and nothing. I walk than towards the desk and look there, yet to no prevail. "You gotta be fucking-!". I begin to look in the closet, but there are only our old clothes. For my last change, I look around the room, yet nothing. "Damnit! They've got it!" I groan.

"Are you alright?" I turn around and see Vision leaning against the door, still looking he's in pain. "I got a notification that door got..." He points towards the door. "Umm... electrocuted."

"Do you know where my mother's grimoire is?" I say frustrated.

He looks confuse and thinks. "No, I don't know."

I take a deep breath "Shit!"

He looks at me with sympathy. "My apologies that I can't do more."

"It's- It's alright, I guess." I mutter the last part. I look around the room before I speak. "How- How's my dad?"

I stay silent for a second or two. I look at him wondering. "He's gone back to his old ways... but worse." I look surprise at him. "He's been drinking a lot after Rhodes's death and your departure. Because of this, Pepper decide to break up with him and quit her job." At this point I don't look Vision in his eyes. "I sometimes see him drinking late at night while working in his workshop, just muttering-" He stops talking, realizing he told enough. He then looks at me with sympathy.

I take a few seconds to responds. "We should go. The rest of team are waiting for us."

He looks astonish at me. I walk past him and walk away towards where our teammates are.
