Ch 16. The Battle Of The Stones

During our flight, we learned that Bruce can't change into Hulk. We don't know it is forever or just temporary though. He did however borrowed Stark Hulkbuster suit.

We're flying towards Wakanda. Sam is piloting it while the rest are either sitting on one of the seats are standing. "Drop to 2600, heading 0-3-0. I hope you're right about this, Cap. Or we're gonna land a lot faster than you want to."

We continue are fly above the beautiful land that is filled with nature. We fly slower and it seems that we're going to crash into a rock, but we went through what I guess is a blue force field. We then see a beautiful city with tall buildings and with a lake next to it. When we arrive in the city, we landed on a landing pad. From the window we can see the king of Wakanda, T'Challa and his soldiers. We walk towards the Quinjet's exit and it opens. Steve and Nat walks in front and Sam is behind them. Y/N, Bruce and I are walking behind Sam while Wanda and Vision are in the back.

"Should we bow?" Bruce looks at us while putting on his jacket.

Y/N and I look at each other and look back at Bruce. "Yes." We both in unison.

We all stand in front of T'Challa. "Seems like I'm always thanking you for something." Steve gives him a handshake.

Bruce begins to bow, but I stop him. "What are you doing?"

"Uh, we don't do that here." T'Challa dissuades with a motion of his hand. "So how big of an assault can we expect?" Bruce stand up and look at annoyed, which I return with a smirk.

Our team begins to walk towards the building near the landing platform. Bruce takes a few steps forwards and stand right behind

Steve. "Uh, sir, I think you can expect quite a big assault." And takes a step back.

"How we looking?" Nat asks.

"You will have my King's Guard, the Border Tribe, the Dora Milaje, and..." T'Challa explains. He then gestures towards our left and we see someone familiar walking towards us.

"A semi-stable, 100-year-old man." Bucky says with a smile on his face. He stand in front of with Steve, seeing his best friend smile. The two then give a hug.

"Ugh, get a room." Y/N mutters, luckily nobody else heard it except me and I and we chuckle.

The two then stop hugging. "How you been, Buck?"

"Uh, not bad, for the end of the world." Bucky respond.

After Bucky and Steve catch up a bit, we go to T'Challa's sister, Shuri's lab. Vision lays on the table while Bruce and Shuri are stand over him, analyzing him. Wanda stands next to Bruce. T'Challa stand in front of the table Vision lays on with his guards next to him. Steve is near him as well as Nat. I stand next to Wanda and Y/N is in front of me. Sam and Bucky are outside. Shuri scans Visions stone and then shows a hologram of the stone.

"Whoa. The structure is polymorphic." Shuri looks at the hologram.

"Right, we had to attach each neuron non-sequentially." Bruce responds.

"Why didn't you just reprogram the synapses to work collectively?" Shuri suggests.

Bruce stays silent and look at Shuri. Vision looks at him with the corner of his eyes. "Because, we didn't think of it." Bruce answers.

Shuri smiles. "I'm sure you did your best."

I chuckle. "Damn."

"Somebody got roasted." Y/N adds, also enjoying the moment, making Bruce even more embarrassed.
