Bastian was suddenly jolted awake. His body immediately trembled from pain. It was so painful it took all the strength on his body to even breath.
He wasn't sure how long he struggled while gritting his teeth. It felt like it was the longest time of his life. A feeling like he's being repeatedly stabbed and cut deep within his bone marrow all over his body- spread throughout his limbs and nerve endings.
Even his organs are aching so badly. He groaned and breath through his tightly clenched teeth, trying to silently endure and let it pass. He couldn't move his limbs thus all he can do is curl up, tremble and curse the system for not even trying to reduce his pain capacity.
Damn It!
After so much intolerable pain has passed. Bastian felt so tired and miserable.
He wanted to sleep and die just to get over it. As a very princely human who lived with no pain and suffering, Bastian truly felt like he plunged from hell.
He wanted to complain again just for the heck of complaining and relieving his stress, mental and physical fatigue.
However, the system's sudden notification sound echoed inside his head, like a bell being struck so hard, it makes one's head Crack.
[Congratulations, Host. You survived the first punishment with flying colors. You have such a commendable endurance.
This system will be undergoing its Energy saving mode for the rest of the missions duration. Due to the lack of energy, the system will only work as a navigator for the remaining mission until the host complete the missions. It will not be able to answer any questions nor explain any further information regarding the story line and its possible trajectory.
Except for the task bars, mission completion rates, space inventory and plot recovery function, all other functions such as mapping, skill and ability shop, as well as the other energy consuming functions will be on shut down until the host can finally provide the energy needed.
Reminder: The host needs to complete all the task to gather enough energy for the system to function as it originally supposed to.

With this firm thought, Bastian gritted his teeth and endured more. His body's cell and tissues, as well as muscles, are starting to regenerate itself faster than the estimated time of Anna. If you watch closely, his cells seems to be writhing and seemed to be disgusting but he can't even see himself, thus his suffering continued.
