"Mate." The son said before rushing over to Aslan. Wes got in between them before contact could be made and Aslan huffed. The younger wolf didn't seem to like the obstacle between him and his mate and growled. Tristan's beta whistled lowly before chuckling. Aslan watched as her mate's eyes changed from gray to a glowing cerulean blue and gasped. Wes chuckled at the young wolf before allowing Aries to take over.

They watched the moment the young wolf realized he had fucked up as Aries held him by his neck significantly off the ground and snarled at him. "My King," his father pleaded. "He didn't know what he was doing by growling at you. He's just overtaken by the mate's pull. You understand that." Aries looked at the father, but didn't care. Aslan watched as her father squeezed her mate's neck and a wave of anger and possessiveness washed over her.

Aries couldn't believe it, but he turned his head as he heard his daughter snarl at him. He watched as her fangs descended and her eyes bled red. "Aslan!" Aries shouted snapping her out of her reverie. "Drop him, Papa." She finally spoke up after composing herself. "Please." Aslan pleaded earnestly and with her eyes for good measure.

Aries looked back at the young wolf as his eyes glowed. "You ever disrespect me like that again and I will kill you. Mate of my daughter or not." Aslan watched as Aries threw her mate into the wall across the conference table creating a sizeable dent and screamed.

She used her vampiric speed to run to her mate as tears formed in her eyes. "Please tell me you're okay. Please be okay!" She said caressing his cheek. The wind was knocked out of him and he could feel that the Alpha King had broken a rib or two with the throw, but the young wolf would be okay.

"Look at me. Are you okay?" He looked up into deep brown eyes and gave a small smile. "You're beautiful." He finally spoke and it made Aslan swoon even harder. Her smile was so big and bright that he committed it to memory. They didn't even know one another's names, but it didn't matter. Love blossomed in their hearts and wildly so. Aslan caressed his cheek and the touch sent shocks throughout their nervous system. Her smile never left her face.

"Let's get this shit over with." Aries huffed taking a seat. Aslan looked over the table at her father with a glare. "Aries bring Papa back." The wolf smirked at his daughter. "I am Papa." Aslan shook her head. "My other Papa." He rolled his eyes but relented. "I don't like your fuck ass mate, little girl." He said before letting Wes take over. "I don't like him either." Wes said before turning his attention to Tristan.

Aslan scoffed at both of her fathers before helping her mate up. She could hear him having trouble breathing and fumed all over again. "You broke his rib!" Aslan shouted causing Wes to shrug. "He shouldn't have been disrespectful. You should be grateful that's all I broke." The young wolf still seemed angry, but shook it off at the glare he received from his king and his father. He sat down with the help of his mate and tried to breathe through the pain.

"Okay..." Tristan began looking at everyone cautiously. "Alpha King, this is David and Jonah Green." Aslan couldn't help but smile at her mate upon learning his name. "Jonah." She whispered causing him to smile as well. "Say it again." He murmured unknowingly leaning into her. "Jonah," Aslan repeated happily also leaning in. "Aht aht! Quit all that shit right the fuck now!" Aslan didn't have to look to know Aries had taken over again and groaned.

The two lovebirds sat back in their seats. Jonah trying to get as comfortable as possible despite the pain. "They are rogues, but not by choice." Tristan continued. "There pack was slaughtered by vampires close to a decade ago leaving them displaced. They have endured a lot in search for a pack willing to take them and I feel Moon Dust is their home."

Aslan stiffened at the demise of her mate's former pack. Jonah wasn't sure why the mood had changed, but he knew something was up with his mate. He grabbed her hand under the table and watched as she visibly relaxed. They made eye contact once more and he gave her a dreamy smile that warmed her insides. The fact was her own kind were the reason that her mate and his father had struggled. She had no idea what he had to endure as a rogue, but the vampire part of her worried if he'd hate her for who she partly was.
