"So, you two have finally found your mates." Mason said as the two sets of triplets sat out in the backyard around the firepit days later. It was a little past midnight and they were all brought up to speed on what was going on in everyone's life.

Lala had told them about the girl she liked in her history class before spending five minutes showing them the girl's Instagram. They weren't surprised to learn that Malachi had a slew of girls both supernatural and mortal at his disposal. "You're just like Pop." Seth chuckled causing the vampire and witch hybrid to shrug. "He is my Pappy isn't he."

They laughed at his foolishness before listening to Mason. He apparently was struggling internally with his supernatural identity. It was no secret that Mason felt more connected with his wolf, Lobo. Harlow always thought it was funny since he was named after Mason Lockwood, the werewolf on The Vampire Diaries. However, Mason informed them that his angel Apollo was and had been fighting for control.

"Why don't you just let him out, Mase? It has been years." Aslan questioned still confused after all these years why her brother refused to acknowledge he was part angel. Mason sighed loudly. "I honestly don't know how to any more. And even if I did, I feel like he wouldn't relinquish control back to me after being locked away for so long."

They saw the stress this caused their brother and grew sad. "You need to bond with him. You two lost your way and need to find it again to make it back to one another." Seth spoke up. "Balthazar and I take trips to keep close and it works for us. Maybe you need to talk to Apollo about doing that and relinquish control to one another while away." Mason nodded as he thought over the idea.

"You should watch that old movie Mama likes. Venom. It's the same premise in that a hybrid is struggling and eventually the two parts find a way to be whole." Freya spoke up with a small smile. Freya could feel her brother becoming more relaxed with the suggestions given and smiled at that. "I think something's wrong with Max and I." Seth began.

"What do you mean?" Aslan asked concerned. "We've just been feeling off lately...for a while actually...like incomplete. It's the strangest feeling, but we literally both feel like there's a hole in our hearts. I don't know if that makes sense but recently the feeling has grown stronger. It's like something is missing and I don't know what."

"Maybe not something, but someone." Malachi spoke up with a mouth full of gummies causing them all to look at him. "I don't know, but you sound like Papa when he used to describe his feelings before meeting Mama. Maybe you and Max have another mate." Seth looked at his youngest brother like he was insane.

"It's not some crazy theory seeing as our mom literally has three mates. Five if you count Aries and Bael. Aunty Kayla has twelve if you count their demons. I'm just saying you feel like something is missing and that thing could be a person. If I'm right you owe me a PlayStation 12."

Seth took in Malachi's words and thought deeply on it. He always thought Max was his one and only. He had relationships with other guys and girls and nothing compared to Max. However, recently they both couldn't ignore the feeling that was leaving a gaping hole in their chests.

Maybe another mate was the missing puzzle piece. He sent Max a quick text that they needed to talk when he got home from his assignment. The feeling of hope and excitement washed over Seth before he returned to his siblings' conversation.

"So, when do we get to meet your mates?" Lala asked wiggling her eyebrows. Aslan chuckled before smiling. "I'm sure within the week. Jonah is amazing, guys." They all took in her lovesick expression and smiled. "I can't believe he's a werewolf," Malachi spoke up. "Yuck!" Freya slapped her brother upside his head. "Two of your siblings are werewolves too, idiot."
