It had been a couple of weeks and the weight of Alistair's sacrifice still hung heavy in the air. Mikayla was there for her best friend. She couldn't imagine what Harlow was going through, but she was going to offer her support and love.
As Mikayla sat in the nursery with the projected orb in front of her, she sighed. She did this once a week. She checked in on her parents. They couldn't know she was alive, because they were unaware of the type of world she lived in and the supernatural things all around them and she wanted to keep it that way.
It was hard, especially with the birth of the girls, but her parents looked happy after all these years. They were older and spent their time traveling on cruises and she wanted that for them. Stress free living.
She chuckled at the conversation her mother was currently having with her step-father. They were such characters and she missed them terribly. It took everything in her not to grab the phone and speak to her mom or step-father every time they called the guys.
She was so happy with her father-in-law for the gift he gave her when she first gave birth to Fury and Emrys. Lucifer made it so they "dreamed" her life. Mikayla almost lost it when she checked in with her parents and they were talking about a shared dream in which she was alive and gave birth to twin girls with unusual names.
Lucifer promised he'd give them updated dreams as long as she wanted. It made her happy and feel like they were present and a part of this crazy life she had.
Harlow knocked on the door and smiled as she found Monique and Seth in the nursery. "How are you two doing?" She asked looking at the sleep deprived teen parents. "We're okay. How are you, Mama?" Seth asked worriedly.
Harlow shrugged. "Today is a better day." They nodded their heads. "I came here to give you this." Harlow said holding up a onesie that said 'Literally Bad to the Bone' with horns. "It was Seth's when he was born and now it can be Miles."
Monique smiled widely at the sentiment before breaking down into tears. "I'm so sorry, Mama. I didn't expect Alistair..." Harlow shushed her. "You're okay, sweetie. You haven't learned yet that Alistair Winfrey Allen did whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted?"
Monique chuckled at that. "Not you giving out his government." Seth snickered causing Harlow to laugh. "He'd be so pissed if you guys knew his middle name was Winfrey." Harlow chuckled before wiping away some tears. "Thank you for this, Mama. For everything."
Seth smiled giving his mother a hug and kiss. They spent the next few moments talking and loving on the twins when Aslan walked in. "Can we borrow Seth for a moment?" Seth looked at his sister suspiciously before walking over to her.
"Come on!" Freya waved from her room. "What is going on?" Seth asked before sitting on her bed. "We think we should get Mama a new familiar." Seth's eyes bugged out. "It doesn't work that way, first of all. Secondly, nothing and no one is going to replace Alistair, guys."
Freya huffed. "I don't want to replace him. I just want Mama to be happy again." Seth nodded his head as his sisters sat next to him. "It'll take time, but she'll get there. I just hate that he disappeared. He wasn't in hell when I looked and I just know Mama would have loved that closure." Freya and Aslan nodded in understanding.
"Hey," Freya said suddenly. "I have an idea." Seth quirked an eyebrow. She filled them in on her plan and they both smiled in agreement. Monique, Philip, Max, Jonah, D2, Mikayla, the Sins and the parents found themselves outside in winter clothes. "What is going on?" Harlow asked confusedly as the weather had been dreary thanks to Freya's grief stricken disposition.
"We've been through a bunch of bad shit lately and we just felt we needed a cheerful reprieve." Harlow and the guys watched their older triplets hold hands as Freya began chanting in Latin. Suddenly large snowflakes began to fall and heavily. In no time they had eight inches of snow. Freya broke the circle before forming a snowball with her powers and throwing it right at her mother's face. They all stilled. Freya worried she might have gone too far until an avalanche of snow came crashing over her.
