Monique sat with her legs crossed and rubbed on her stomach. She made a point to be intentional and truly connect with her unborn babies.

She and Ariel were able to connect with her hybrid son quite quickly. It wasn't like Mikayla's connection where she could hear his thoughts, but she did feel when he was upset or happy.

The connection wasn't strong with her mortal daughter, but she still felt something. She still felt her though faintly and that was enough for the young mother.

"I wonder what you guys' nursery should look like. I wonder if Mrs. Draven will let us use the guestroom next door." Monique said out loud lost in thought.

"Of course! You can do whatever you want baby angel. We're all happy to have you and Max here." Harlow said as she brought in a bowl of fruit.

"Speak for yourself, Mama. This house has been filled to capacity long before Max's mooching ass brought himself over." Harlow shook her head at her familiar. "Ignore him."

Alistair sucked his teeth. "Okay. Keep that same energy when you need help with your GRANDKIDS. That's right I said it, because you're a grandmother now. These fools done made you older than you ought to be."

Harlow rolled her eyes. "You're petty." Alistair shrugged. "And you're basic. See we both can tell the truth." Monique giggled at the cat before taking a pineapple chunk and eating it.

Alistair glared at her before making his way over. Monique couldn't get over the size of the feline.  "We got rules in this bitch since you've moved yourself in already." Harlow sighed loudly while shaking her head.

"First of all, your niglets better be taken care of by you and your men. This is not a daycare. Second of all, don't stress my Mama out or you'll have me to deal with. Third of all, if you do need the children watched for a little while I take a small fee. Cash, card or catnip will do. The last one should be in bulk."

Monique chuckled loudly before scratching behind the cat's ears. Alistair hated that he immediately started to purr.

Monique noticed as the cat stilled as he stared at her stomach. He rubbed his head against her stomach causing Monique to smile. "He can be sweet!" She cooed. "If you say so." Harlow said watching her familiar curiously.

"Are you good, honey?" Monique looked at her mother-in-law and nodded. "Thanks so much, Mrs. Draven." Harlow shook her head.

"It's Mama around here. Any Black mother-in-law that still wants to be called Mrs. doesn't like you and I absolutely adore you." Harlow gave her a quick hug before getting up.

"Come on, Alistair. It's time for a bath." Alistair moved from Monique's stomach sucking his teeth before trying to run, but Harlow was quicker. "Mama let me go! I don't want no damn bath! I'm a grown ass man and can wash my own balls!" Monique laughed heartily as she watched the two leave the room.

She ate her fruit happily thinking about what her new life was going to look like. She was happy she sent off a letter to her grandmother before things got crazy. She had a feeling things might not go as expected and wanted her grandmother to know she was alright.

Monique knew that though God had called a sort of truce with the DeVille side of his family, she was definitely certain her membership in heaven was revoked. It was just a feeling, but it was a strong one.

She listened as her mates played with Malachi and Mason and smiled. The younger Draven triplets were so well adapted. They seemed to hold their own despite the chaos that was growing up children of the three most powerful supernatural creatures and the first ever tribrid.
