Harlow felt hollow. She stopped hearing his slowed heartbeat minutes ago. Seth was inconsolable on the ground, while Lucifer's body was turned into a statue thanks to God.

God heard him scream and cuss, but couldn't bring himself to care. He simply stared at the lifeless body of his first grandchild. He didn't appreciate the sadness that overwhelmed him.

He shouldn't care. It shouldn't hurt, but it did. He was going to leave when a little boy with short brown curls and big green eyes walked up to him with a wide smile.

He knew immediately who it was and that no one else could see him. "Hi, Damien." God said causing the little boy to giggle. He held up his hands and God picked him up and walked towards the back of the room.

"How am I here?" The young Damien asked him with a smile revealing two missing front teeth. "You're my grandson. Where else would you go?" He said tickling the child. Damien looked at the small crowd around his body.

"Everyone is sad." The child spoke up looking back at his grandfather. "You're supposed to make people happy, Grandfather. Why does that not apply to me and my family? Aren't we worth loving too?"

There was that feeling again. It tugged at his heart that was supposed to be big enough for the universe and yet he had made sure his own family never saw an ounce of his love.

"Take me, Grandfather, but leave the rest alone. Let them have families and full lives and in exchange the world will not see the work of the anti-Christ."

It was a sweet deal. He could take it and ensure that the world would be freer of chaos and mayhem, but as he looked at the face of his first son his heart broke.

There had been only two times God had ever seen Lucifer cry. The night of the great war when he banished him from heaven and presently. It was ironic and sort of poetic.

God rarely cried, but he did the night he lost his first son. Now here they were and like him thousands of years ago, Lucifer was crying but this time over the loss of his own eldest son.

God looked at Damien's chubby cheeks and sweet smile and pinched him before smothering him in kisses. The child giggled loudly bringing a smile to his face. "You're my favorite you know that." Damien quieted down before asking why.

"You remind me of my other son. Your uncle. You were made to be the opposite of him, but you two are truly alike. You both would do anything for your father and for your family. It's a great quality to have."

Damien smiled at him before he felt a pain in his chest. "Grandpa?" Damien mumbled with tears in his eyes. God placed a kiss on his forehead before the child disappeared from his arms.

Harlow found herself in her living room covered in her husband's blood. Seth was on the ground while Lucifer was standing beside him. They looked around realizing where they were.

"No! No! Where is his body? Where is my son's body!?" Lucifer screamed as tears streaked down his face. Seth felt like he had died himself. His father's blood coated his hands and clothes as the last reminder he'd have of him.

"Quit yelling the girls are sleeping." Damien said walking towards them and Lucifer's legs gave out in shock. Damien was quick to catch his father before kneeling in front of him. "My boy. My sweet, sweet boy." Lucifer said pulling him close and crying in his embrace.

Seth didn't know what he was seeing. He wasn't sure if it was real and pinched himself to confirm. "DAD!" Seth said throwing himself at his father and grandfather.

Damien chuckled at his son before giving him a squeeze. He looked up and saw that Harlow had gone into shock. He wasn't even sure she knew he was alive or right there in front of her. He moved out of his father's embrace and made his way to kneel in front of his sitting wife.
