Seth found himself standing outside of a two-story townhome in downtown Seattle. He knew this was Philip's residence from the scent he picked up. Demons did not have the abilities Seth and Lala had. They were more powerful than any other demon because they were the children of the anti-Christ and sired from the source of all evil directly. Damien, Seth and Lala could smell the auras or spirits of individuals. It couldn't be masked or changed making them excellent predators.

He knocked on the door and waited for it to be opened. He listened as Philip made his way to the door before opening it. Seth expected some type of reaction. Eyes widening. Some type of shock and got nothing. "You're not her." Philip finally spoke out causing Seth to huff before transforming from Freya to himself.

Philip watched the transformation still expressionless before stepping aside to let the demon in. Seth walked into the townhome and took in the décor or lack thereof. The walls were bare and the colors neutral. It looked like a boring hotel.

"I take it you're here about Freya," Philip said taking a seat. "I'm sure you've noticed it's rained nonstop since you met my sister." Philip hummed a response. "Are you going to reject her?" Seth asked out right. "No. I don't feel like dying any time soon."

Seth took him in. He was hard to read and Seth hated that. "Are you going to mate her and be there for her then?" Philip turned his gaze from the window to the demon in front of him. He could see that the stories were true. Seth Draven was a force to be reckoned with. His tall frame stood proud and he seemed to be made of steel.

His strong, angular jaw and green eyes added to the tropes both men and women sold about him. Philip wondered what it would be like to get to know him. He heard of his endless powers and secretly wondered what that was like, but he stuffed those thoughts down until they were no more. The only friend he needed was Lazlo. His only focus was and always had been himself. "I'm not going to reject your sister, but I won't mate her either."

Seth had been reading his thoughts before he scoffed at him and took a seat across from him. "She's not going to be tied to some loser who can't make a fucking decision. You either mate her or you reject her and let her find love somewhere else." At the thought of another man touching his mate had Philip seeing red. Literally. His eyes bled red as his fangs descended.

"Oh, no...you don't get to be upset ass wipe. Make up your mind on whether you will reject her or mate her or she'll be the one rejecting you." Seth stood up staring daggers into the vampire. "Either way Freya Draven will get a happy ending. Do what you like with the double entendre." Seth smirked before disappearing.

Philip was fuming. He wanted to scream. Just the imagery of some faceless asshole touching Freya. Kissing Freya. He couldn't even think about her mocha legs being opened for anyone else. He sometimes wished in moments like this one that he had décor so he could destroy it in a rage.

He knew to an outsider that it seemed so simple, but it wasn't. Philip didn't do people, because he didn't like them. He didn't need them. He had gotten by on his own, because like his family, people were beyond exasperating.

His father Paul came from a long line of Chinese vampires known throughout the world, but especially Asia. The Wang vampires were known for the hospitality in caring for other vampires, old and new.

His mother Prue was a British vampire that his father stumbled upon while traveling through Europe. His grandparents didn't like the idea of Paul marrying someone that wasn't Chinese, but knew they didn't have a say in the matter as they were mates.

His mother was like everyone else in the Wang family though, kind and hospitable. His father brought the same teaching and attitude to America where they raised Philip and his sister, Paige.
