"We need to talk." Pride said looking at his younger brother. "Mikayla may be human, but she can still feel your energy and sense your mood. You're stressing our wife out and you need to quit it. She's pregnant for fuck's sake."
Gluttony sighed loudly before running his fingers through his long sandy blond hair. "You think I want to feel like this. You think I want to worry her." Gluttony replied angrily.
"What's going on?" Damien spoke up behind them. "Nothing." Gluttony replied too quickly. "You know I can read your thoughts, right?" Damien asked taking a seat on his other side.
"No shit, Damien. We all can read each other's thoughts except Envy's bitch ass." Damien shook his head. "I can read your inner thoughts. The ones you think are hidden. There's nothing I can't see, Gluttony."
Gluttony stared at his eldest brother with wide eyes. He had forgotten Damien had that power. He could read the thoughts you weren't even aware you were thinking. The feelings of your subconscious.
"You are nothing like them." Damien finally said looking into his brother's hazel green eyes. "Your mother, she placed herself above you and I know that is something you would never do to your girls." Pride realized what was truly burdening Gluttony and sighed sadly.
"Dad is an asshole." Damien spoke up making his brothers laugh. "He honestly had no business being a husband let alone a father, but we're here because of it and I'm happy about that." Gluttony looked into his brother's green eyes and Damien could see the welling tears.
"Andras and I don't know what to do. We've never had a good parent to be a guide or example. What if we fuck up like they did? What if our daughters end up hating us as much as we hate them?" Damien didn't expect for Gluttony to unleash his emotions and thoughts like he did, but they were overwhelming.
Pride pulled Gluttony into a tight hug and let him cry. Damien would've laughed at the sight if the situation weren't so serious. Pride was a tall man, but Gluttony was Goliath. Pure muscle with a 6'5" frame and tattoos everywhere but his face.
"You're going to be okay, brother." Pride assured. "We're going to be okay." Damien thought on a solution for his brother and smiled at what he came up with. "Wipe your face." Damien said standing up. "What?" Gluttony said looking at him. "Wipe your face and come with me."
Pride shrugged his shoulders before following his older brother into the living room where the family congregated. Gluttony made his way in shortly after avoiding Mikayla's gaze. She moved to be close to him and sighed when it seemed like he just wanted to be left alone.
Damien pushed her into Gluttony's arms with a smile. "You two are going to take a trip." He said before waving his hand. They all watched as the couple disappeared.
"Where did you send them?" Envy asked confusedly. "The Maldives." Damien responded before taking a look at his remaining brothers. "They're going to be gone for a few days, which gives you assholes enough time to get the nursery ready for the girls. Mikayla is human, but she is still carrying half demon children. Her pregnancy won't last longer than six months. That gives you enough time to make it perfect. I want everything done manually. No powers."
Greed sucked his teeth loudly. "Bitch you must have lost your damn mind." Alistair chuckled as he walked into the room. "I know that's right." Damien glared at the talking feline. "I'm dead serious." Damien said before waving his hand.
The brothers felt a cold rush before glaring daggers at their brother. "What did you do?" Wrath fumed. "I stripped any power outside of your sin. You will get your abilities back after the nursery is complete." Sloth groaned loudly as the idea of him having to exert himself drained him already. "Why are you like this?" Sloth groaned.
