"I'm home! Cried Clara. 'We're in the living room.' Called Colin back. Clara took off her shoes and she hung her coat on the coat rack. She put her school bag down by the stairs and then she walked into the living room. Immediately a dog came running towards her and he jumped up against her.

'Dodger, don't jump.' Shouted Chris. Clara looked over to the sofa and there sat Scarlett, Chris and Colin. 'Chris! Immediately Clara got a big smile on her face when she saw him sitting there. 'Hey Claar.' He greeted the girl. 'What are you doing here? Asked Clara in surprise.

'Just checking out my favorite people. Scarlett told me you have your first school party tonight.' Said Chris. 'Yes I am.' Immediately Clara got a smile on her face. She was secretly looking forward to it quite a bit. Mary-Kate and Ashley had picked out a dress especially for her and she couldn't wait to wear it.

Yesterday, Scarlett and Rose had picked up the dress at Ashley's house. Clara was so tired from school yesterday that she didn't want to go. Colin had stayed with Clara and cooked dinner. Colin and Clara had eaten dinner together and then watched a movie.

'Shall we go and try on the dress in a moment?' Suggested Scarlett. 'What time is it? Asked Clara. 'Ten past four.' Answered Colin. 'Isn't it a little early?' Asked Clara. Scarlett shrugged her shoulders. 'We can wait a little longer though.'

'Shall we play a game?' Asked Chris. 'What kind of game? Clara opened the cabinet. 'Twister! Bet I'm going to win.' Said Chris. Clara laughed. 'I don't think so.' Said Clara, laughing. 'I'm in too! Rose came running into the living room. 'Cozy! Said Chris. He got up from the couch. Clara, meanwhile, had put the rug on the floor.

'I'll turn.' Said Scarlett. Clara handed the plate to Scarlett, 'Will you join us too Col?' Asked Chris. Colin shook his head. 'I'm not very good at this.' Grinned he. 'Or you just don't dare.' Giggled Rose. 'Indeed. Colin just doesn't dare.' Teased Chris. 'Pay attention now. I'm going to start.' Scarlett turned the board. 'Left hand on red.' Easily everyone put their left hand on red.

After three rounds, Clara and Rose thought they had had enough. Chris had won three times and Clara had come to the conclusion that Chris was unbeatable. 'Shall we just go and do your clothes and hair for the school fete?' Proposed Scarlett. Clara nodded. She was getting nervous now anyway.

Together with Scarlett, she walked upstairs. 'I've put the dress on your bed. If you put it on, I'll get a hairbrush, makeup and rubber bands. Said Scarlett. Clara nodded and she walked to her room. She closed the door behind her and she walked to her bed. On the bed was the dress.

'Wow.' Clara stroked the dress with her fingers. 'It was perfect! It wasn't too flashy but it certainly wasn't ugly. It was exactly what suited Clara. Clara changed her clothes and she looked in the mirror. The dress was amazing. Clara walked over to Scarlett's room.

"And how does it look on me? Uncertainly she stood in the doorway. 'Wow Claar. It looks beautiful on you!' Said Scarlett, "Really? Questioningly, she looked at Scarlett. Scarlett nodded. 'Now your hair and then you'll be all ready to go to the school dance.'

Scarlett put Clara's hair in a beautiful braid and satisfied, Clara stood in front of the mirror. 'Do you like it? Scarlett asked. Clara nodded. 'It's really beautiful. Thank you.' She gave Scarlett a hug. 'Do you want some makeup on too?' Asked Scarlett, 'Yes is good.' Replied Clara. She never really wore makeup so she felt like a big deal that she got to wear makeup now. Scarlett put some mascara and eye shadow on Clara and the girl looked happily in the mirror. 'Wow Claar. You are really beautiful!' Said Scarlett, 'Let's go downstairs. I think the rest would like to see your outfit too.'

Clara walked into the living room. 'Wow Clarie, you look like a princess.' Shouted Rose. Chris and Colin also complimented her and with a big smile on her face Clara took the compliments. 'Photo time.' Scarlett had grabbed the camera. 'Oh no.' Clara groaned. If she hated anything it was taking pictures. Scarlett didn't seem to care and cheerfully pressed the button on the camera.

'Rosie, stand next to it.' Said Scarlett. Rose went to stand next to Clara and both girls smiled sweetly into the camera. Chris also took a few more family pictures and Scarlett took a picture of Clara and Chris together.

"Shall I take you to school? Chris asked. 'If you want to please.' Replied Clara. 'Do you really want to do that Chris?' Asked Scarlett, 'Yes of course! If you'll let Dodger out in a moment.' Said he grinning. 'Haha funny.' Replied Scarlett, 'I'll let Dodger out. You take Clara out soon before she's late.' Said Colin. 'Thanks Colin.' Clara gave Colin a hug and Rose and Scarlett also got another hug. Then Clara put on her heels and coat and together with Chris she left the house..
