Two weeks flew by and Clara was already feeling much better. Her arm was almost healed and her ribs hurt a lot less. Clara was very happy about this because the past few weeks had affected her activities very much.

Since last week, Clara had started Online school. Mckenna also attends online school and it was through her mother that they ended up at that school. Clara liked online school much better and she had even made a friend already: Jodie.

They had never seen each other in real life but during the online classes the two clicked well. Things also went very well between Jack and Clara. Jack visited her regularly to see how she was doing and sometimes he brought her a little something. Clara thought that was very sweet of him and she promised him that she would visit him as soon as she was completely recovered.

Clara desperately wanted to go out on the street again, but Colin and Scarlett both thought it was not a good idea. Somehow Clara understood. She already thought the way from her bedroom downstairs was long. Fortunately, Colin and Scarlett understood that she wanted to go outside and so every day she took a walk in the garden. The first few days were quite disappointing but Clara was a go-getter and she didn't give up.

'Here you are! Are you coming down? Colin asked. Clara looked up from her English book. 'What is it?' She asked. 'Scar and I have a surprise.' Colin looked at her mysteriously. Clara was getting curious now anyway. She got up and she walked downstairs after Colin.

Downstairs in the living room Rose and Scarlett were already sitting. "What's the surprise? Clara asked curiously. 'Come and sit down first.' Said Scarlett. She patted the couch. Clara sat down between Rose and Scarlett. Colin took a seat next to Scarlett.

'What's the surprise?' Rose asked. She was incredibly curious. 'We have a present for you both to open at the same time.' Smiled Scarlett. Colin handed Rose and Clara both a package. Curious, they unwrapped the present.

It was a bodysuit that read: baby 2022. Clara's mouth fell open. Rose didn't understand. "What am I supposed to do with this? Disappointed, she looked at the romper. She had hoped for something else. 'Rose, look at the text. You're going to be a big sister.' Exclaimed Clara. 'What? Now Rose's mouth fell open as well. Scarlett laughed. 'You're going to have a little brother or sister.'

"How nice! Clara gave Scarlett a hug and Rose hugged Colin. 'Is it going to be a boy or a girl?' Asked Rose. 'We don't know yet.' Answered Scarlett, 'Oh. I hope it's going to be a girl.' Said Rose. 'What about you Clara? Curious, Colin looked at his eldest daughter.

'It doesn't matter much to me. A little brother seems nice but a sister just as well.' Answered Clara. 'The important thing is that it's healthy.' Said Scarlett. Everyone agreed. 'How many months are you pregnant now?' Wanted to know Clara.

'Three months.' Smiled Scarlett, "What, so long already! Surprised, she looked at Scarlett. Scarlett nodded. 'I wanted to keep it a secret as long as possible because of the press.' Scarlett explained. 'But how did you do that with drinking? You didn't drink alcohol did you? Clara asked startled. Colin and Scarlett both shot into laughter.

'Scarlett just pretended to drink but when no one was looking she swapped her glass for a glass of water.' Chuckled Colin. 'Oh.' Clara laughed. She could totally picture Scarlett swapping glasses.

'What do you think Rose?' Asked Scarlett, 'Pretty nice but it will be another year before the baby comes.' Rose sighed. Colin laughed. 'That's not so bad though. Six more months if all goes well.' Said he. 'That's still a long time.' Felt Rose. 'Before you know it, it'll be here.' Scarlett assured her. Rose nodded and left it at that.

'Have you told other people yet?' Clara asked. Scarlett and Colin shook their heads at the same time. 'We actually had the idea of going by our parents tomorrow and breaking the news.' Said he. 'Sounds like fun! Can I come along? Asked Clara. 'Of course.' Answered Scarlett, "And me too? Asked Rose. 'You can come too.' nodded Colin. 'Yeeh! Shouted Rose happily.

Clara smiled. She couldn't believe she was getting a sibling. For years she had dreamed of a family and almost six months ago she had found hers. She never expected Colin and Scarlett to accept her but thanks to them she got the house she used to dream of as a little girl.

Not only a beautiful home but more importantly, a family. People who cared about her, hugged her, listened to her, tried to help her. She was so grateful that Colin and Scarlett were always there for her, and now the happiness became even greater with a little one on the way.

Clara gave Scarlett a hug. "What's that for? Asked Scarlett in surprise. 'Just. Because I love you so much.' Answered Clara. 'Group hug! Shouted Rose. Rose and Colin joined them and they held a long group hug.
