'Clara, come here.' Called Colin. Clara walked over to Colin's study. 'What is it? Questioningly she looked at him. 'I have some bad news. My work just called to see if I can come in a day early.' Said Colin. 'What, already today? Exclaimed Clara. Colin nodded. 'What about me?'

'I called Lizzie. You can stay there all weekend.' Said Colin. 'Can't I just stay here?' Asked Clara. Colin shook his head. 'Either you go to Lizzie's or Melanie and Karsten's.' Said Colin. 'Then I'd rather go to Lizzie's.' Said Clara. She had not forgotten the incident during the family weekend. No matter how sweet Melanie and Karsten had been to her she didn't feel comfortable with Scarlett's family. 'That's what I thought.'

It was Friday afternoon and Clara had just left school. She had had a long day of school and it was finally the weekend. 'Go and pack your suitcase. Lizzie will be here in half an hour.' Said Colin. 'In half an hour already? Does Scarlett know?' Asked Clara. Colin nodded. 'I called Scar an hour ago and she thought it was a good idea. Robbie is away with friends this weekend so it's perfectly convenient.'

Clara walked to her room and she packed her suitcase. Colin also let her down. It seemed like everyone disappeared. First Scarlett, now Colin. She didn't want everyone to leave. Silently Clara packed her suitcase and then she walked downstairs.

When she arrived downstairs, Elizabeth was already standing in the living room. "Aunt Lizzie! Pleased, Clara hugged Elizabeth. 'Hey sweetie. How was school today?' Asked Elizabeth. 'Boring. I'm glad it's the weekend.' Said Clara. 'Wasn't there anything fun?' Questioningly, Elizabeth looked at the girl. Clara thought for a moment. 'Nope.' Then she answered. 'And how is Jack?'

'How does everyone know about Jack? He's just a friend.' Clara defended herself. Elizabeth chuckled. 'We'd better talk about your sister and Chris. Have you heard they're dating?' Clara looked at Elizabeth with pretend eyes. Elizabeth shot up in laughter. 'Yes, I know. They're really cute together. Ash is overjoyed.'

'Clara, would you like to take the IPad with you?' Colin asked. Clara nodded. Colin handed her the iPad and Clara put it in her suitcase. 'Have a great time at Lizzie's. I'll pick you up after school on Monday.' Said Colin. 'Is good.' Clara gave Colin a hug.

'Shall we go Claar?' Asked Elizabeth. Clara let go of Colin and she grabbed her suitcase. Clara and Elizabeth walked to Elizabeth's car and they left towards Elizabeth's house. Colin waved the two of them off and reluctantly Clara waved back.

They left. Elizabeth turned on the radio and silently Clara stared out the window. "Shall we stop by the Mac Donalds? In the distance, Elizabeth saw the letter M of the well-known restaurant. 'I'm not very hungry.' Answered Clara softly. 'How come? Asked Elizabeth. 'Just.'

'Claar? Did something happen at school? Elizabeth looked sideways with concern. 'No. I'm just not hungry.' Mumbled Clara. 'Would you like something else then? A milkshake? An ice cream? Tried Elizabeth to persuade her. 'I'm not thirsty either.' Answered Clara gruffly.

Elizabeth ignored Clara her words she took the exit to the Mac Donalds. In the parking lot she stopped the car and she turned a quarter turn so she could see Clara clearly. Clara looked at the window and ignored Elizabeth's gaze.

"Clara, what's going on? Elizabeth asked. Clara remained silent. 'Clara, please tell me what is going on. I can see from you that something is wrong.' Persisted Elizabeth. 'It's just not fair. First my biological parents leave me, then Scarlett, Rose and now Colin. Everyone keeps disappearing.' She got tears in her eyes. 'I get that you see it that way but Scarlett, Colin and Rose are all coming back.'

'But it's not fair that they leave me behind.' Cried Clara in frustration. 'But they're leaving you because they know you're in good hands with me. You always have me.' Said Elizabeth softly. 'And you have Chris, Ashley, Mary-Kate, Florence.' Summed up Elizabeth.

'And what if you're all gone?' Asked Clara. 'It won't come to that. I can totally imagine you're sad that Scar and Col have to work but we're going to make it a fun weekend.' Said Elizabeth. 'Three weeks huh. Scarlett is gone for three weeks.' Complained Clara.

'I know sweetie. Scarlett is devastated that she has to miss you and Rose for so long but that's part of our job. Sometimes you're gone for six weeks and other times it's a week.' Explained Elizabeth. 'I miss Scarlett.' Sighing, Clara said. 'I know honey. Come here.' Elizabeth spread her arms and Clara gave her a hug.
