'Chris, I don't know if this is a good idea.' Scarlett looked at the dog sitting on the couch between Rose and Clara. 'Oh come on Scar. It's only one night. I'll pick him up tomorrow afternoon.' Said Chris. 'Ah please mom. I'm more than happy to take him for a walk.' Said Clara. 'And so do I.' Called Rose.
Scarlett looked at Dodger. Chris had just rang the doorbell, asking if Dodger could stay with them for a night. He suddenly had to leave for filming and there was no more room in the dog boarding house. 'Are you sure you'll be back tomorrow?' Scarlett asked, "One hundred percent. Nodded Chris.
'This is fun anyway Scar. I've always wanted a dog.' Interfered Colin. 'Okay, but I'm the fourth person in charge.' Said Scarlett, 'Deal.' Shouted Clara and Rose in chorus. 'Thank you so much. You guys are my saving angels.' Chris gave everyone a hug.
'I've got some of Dodger's stuff in the back of my car. Do you guys want to help?' Chris asked. 'Of course.' Rose and Clara walked with Chris to his car which he had parked in the driveway. From the car they took Dodger's basket, food, his water bowl and some toys.
'I'll take the toys.' Rose ran inside with the toys and happily Dodger ran after the girl. Chris and Clara were still standing by the car. Chris had his phone in his hands. Smiling, Chris looked at his phone. "Who is it? Asked Clara. 'Oh no one.' Chris put his phone away. 'Yay.' Challenging, Clara looked at him. 'What? Chris looked at her innocently. 'You like someone huh.' Teased Clara. Chris turned red. 'So yeah.'
'Hey, let's talk about your love life. How is it with Jack? Chris asked. 'I don't like Jack. He's just a friend.' Said Clara. 'That's how it always starts.' Said Chris. 'Haha very funny.' Mumbled Clara. 'Oh come on Claar. I saw it on you when we were in front of his house.'
'It's just a friend.' Persisted Clara. 'Okay, whatever you want. Let's just bring the stuff in.' Said Chris. Chris and Clara walked in. 'That took a long time.' Said Scarlett.
'Chris is in love.' Said Clara. 'Not at all!' Exclaimed Chris. He looked at her warningly. 'With whom? Asked Scarlett, 'No one.' Answered Chris. 'Christopher Robert Evans since when have we been hiding things from each other?' Scarlett looked at him sternly. 'It's nothing Scar. Clara is just fooling around.'
Inquisitively Scarlett looked at him. 'Really.' He said. 'Okay. I believe you.' Replied Clara. 'Really? Asked Chris in surprise. Scarlett nodded. 'Fine. Then I think I'll be off. Are you paying attention to my child? He asked. 'I won't let him out of my sight for a second.' Clara promised him. 'Thanks Claar.' Chris gave her a hug. 'I'll watch out for him too.' Rose promised. 'Thank you Rose. You guys are tops.' Chris smiled.
Rose and Clara walked down the hallway and Scarlett and Chris were left behind, just the two of them. This was Scarlett's chance to question Chris about his love life.
'It's Ashley huh.' Said Scarlett, "What? Chris turned red. 'You like Ashley don't you?' Smiling, Scarlett looked at her best friend. 'Where did you get that from? Chris asked. 'I really did see you guys looking at each other on New Year's Eve. You sat next to each other and chatted all night. Did you really think I didn't see that?'
'We're friends.' Said Chris. 'That's how it always starts. If you really like her you should go for it Chris. You deserve it.' Scarlett spoke to him. 'We have a date tonight.' Told Chris. 'What fun! Will you guys watch out for paparazzi? Ashley is always very bothered by them.'
'Yes, we will.' Nodded Chris. 'You're a good man Chris.' Scarlett gave him a hug. 'Thanks Scar. You really are the best friend I could wish for.' Said Chris. 'I am really very proud of you Chris. Good luck today and let me know how it was with Ashley.'
'If you send me a picture of Dodger from time to time.' Answered Chris. 'Will do.' Laughed Scarlett, 'I really have to go now. Thanks for your help.' Chris said goodbye to Scarlett and he left. Smiling, Scarlett looked after him. She was happy for Chris. Things had never been easy for him in love and finally it seemed that he was having some luck.
Scarlett closed the door and she walked into the living room. Rose and Clara were playing with Dodger. "Why don't you go out in the garden and play with him? She suggested. 'But it's cold outside.' Answered Rose. 'If you move around enough you'll get warm on your own.'
Rose and Clara grabbed their coats and they walked into the garden. Dodger followed them obediently. 'Dodger look.' Rose had a little ball in her hand. She threw the ball away and Dodger ran after it. Dodger grabbed the ball and he brought it back to Rose. 'Good dog.' Rose petted the dog.
'Would you like to throw now Clara?' Asked Rose. Clara had sat down on the trampoline. 'No. You do it.' Said Clara. 'Okay.' Rose threw the little ball away again and happily Dodger hopped after it.
