"Are you going to be nice to Daddy? Strictly, Scarlett looked at her little daughter. 'Yes. I'm always nice though.' Answered Rose indignantly. Scarlett smiled. 'What time is daddy coming? Impatiently, Rose stood at the window. 'He'll be here any minute.' Said Scarlett.

'Do I get another hug?' Colin walked into the living room. 'Of course.' Rose ran over to Colin. Colin lifted her up and Rose wrapped her little arms around Colin. 'See you on Thursday Colin.' Said Rose. 'See you Thursday buddy.' Colin set Rose down on the floor again and smiling, Scarlett looked at the pair of them. 'Where's Clarie? I have to say bye to her too.'

'I think she's in her room.' Replied Scarlett. Rose ran upstairs and she stormed into Clara's room. Clara looked up from her drawing pad. 'Hey Rosie. What the hell are you doing here?' Asked Clara. 'I came to say bye. Dad's coming to pick me up in a minute.' Said Rose. 'Already? Asked Clara. Rose nodded. She walked over to Clara and she crawled onto Clara's lap. Clara hugged her sister.

'Lots of fun with daddy.' She said to the girl. 'And you have fun with mom and Colin.' Replied Rose. Clara smiled. 'That will be fine. Should I walk downstairs with you?' Clara asked. 'Yes! Cried Rose enthusiastically. Clara lifted Rose off her lap and together they walked downstairs.

'Rose, daddy is here!' Said Scarlett, "Yay! Rose grabbed her rolling suitcase. 'See you Thursday! She waved to everyone and together with Scarlett she walked out. Colin and Clara remained standing in the doorway. Clara watched as Rose flew into her father's arms. She had a big smile on her face.

Clara suddenly felt very gloomy. Rose was going away for six days and she already missed her terribly. The last time Rose had been to her father's she had felt very alone. It was very different here without Rose.

'Before you know it she'll be back.' Said Colin as if he could read her thoughts. 'I know.' Replied Clara softly. Clara watched Rose get into the car and Scarlett came walking towards Colin and Clara again. 'Thursday night we have to pick up Rosie again.' She said to Colin. 'Fine. Then we can drive straight on towards the hotel.' Colin replied.

'Good idea. By the way, Hunter called that he is bringing his girlfriend to the family weekend.' Said Scarlett, 'That barbie doll who posts fifteen pictures on Facebook in a day?' Asked Colin. 'That one yes.' Replied Scarlett, 'Oh well I'm curious to see what she's like in real life.' Said Colin. 'Otherwise I will.' Replied Scarlett. She closed the front door.

Silently Clara listened to the conversations between Colin and Scarlett. After being brought home by Chris yesterday, they had all watched a Christmas movie together and then Clara had gone to bed. She had slept well but now that the school festival was over she had another thing on her mind: the family weekend.

The weekend that had been talked about for weeks. Rose was really looking forward to it and Scarlett was also looking forward to seeing her family again. Colin was a little less enthusiastic but he seemed to be looking forward to it.

Next Thursday evening they would leave. This year the family weekend was celebrated at a vacation park that was situated next to the forest. It was about a three-hour drive from New York. Scarlett was already busy preparing for the weekend and Colin had also done some shopping.

The doorbell rang. 'I'll answer it.' Shouted Clara. She walked over to the little camera and she saw Jack standing at the gate. Clara pressed a button and the gate opened. 'Who is it? Asked Scarlett from the living room. 'Jack.' Replied Clara. 'Jack? What the hell is he doing here?' Questioningly, Scarlett looked at her daughter. 'No idea, but please don't embarrass me.'

Clara opened the door. 'Hey Jack.' She greeted the boy. 'Hey Clara. I just came by to say sorry about yesterday. I have a chocolate bar for you.' He handed the chocolate bar he had in his hands to Clara. 'Thank you, but you couldn't help it.' Said Clara. 'I know, but I still feel really bad for you. Really a rotten thing for Jax to do.'

'Yes say that. Do you want to come in? Clara asked. Jack shook his head. 'I have a dentist appointment in half an hour.' Said he. 'Oh nothing serious I should hope?' Concerned, she looked at Jack. 'No, just a check-up.' Answered Jack. 'Thank goodness. I'll see you back at school on Monday then.' Said Clara.

'Yes until Monday.' Jack said goodbye to her and he left. Clara closed the front door and she walked into the living room. In the living room she was stared at by Colin and Scarlett.

"What? Clara looked at the two. 'Nothing.' Said Scarlett smiling. 'What did you get? Asked Colin curiously. 'A chocolate bar, because he felt sorry for me about what happened yesterday.' Replied Clara. 'How cute.' Felt Scarlett. Clara shook her head. 'There's nothing cute about that.'
