'I'm sure she's hiding something Lizzie.' Said Scarlett, 'Are you sure? Maybe she just doesn't want you looking in on her phone? I don't like people looking in either.' Said Elizabeth. 'No, this is different. 'There's something she doesn't want to tell you.' Said Scarlett.

'Don't worry about it too much Scar. Maybe she'll tell you on her own.' Said Elizabeth. Scarlett looked at Clara who was sitting on the sofa. She was talking to Florence. 'Yes maybe she will.' Said Scarlett softly. 'Would you like me to check out?' Asked Elizabeth. 'Do you want me to? Asked Scarlett, 'Of course. I don't think she's going to tell me anything but I can always try.'

'Say ladies, are you going to be in the kitchen all evening?' Chris walked into the kitchen. 'No way. We'll be right there. Is there anything you want?' Scarlett asked, 'A beer please.' Said Chris. 'Are we starting the beer already?' Asked Elizabeth chuckling. 'We can't start early enough hey. Seb wants some too.' Chris gave Elizabeth a wink and Scarlett handed him two beers.

Scarlett, Chris and Elizabeth walked into the living room where everyone was already busy talking to each other. The men were standing at a standing table and the women were sitting on the couch. Clara got up and she walked past Scarlett out of the living room. 'Clara, where are you going?' Scarlett asked, 'Just to get something. I'll be right back.' Replied Clara. Suspiciously, Scarlett looked at the girl.

Clara walked to her room. As soon as she was inside she grabbed her phone. Fleetingly she looked around to see if anyone saw her and when she saw that they didn't she opened whatsapp. She had received another message from her stalker this afternoon. She thought it had stopped but apparently it had not. For two and a half weeks the stalker hadn't sent her anything and just before the New Year the stalker was back.

"Hey Clara. Startled, Clara turned around. Standing in the doorway was Elizabeth. 'Oh hey Lizzie.' She greeted the woman. 'What are you doing? Asked Elizabeth. 'Oh nothing. I wanted to get away from the crowds for a while.' Sunk Clara. She put her phone in her pocket. 'Shall we go back downstairs? Clara wanted to walk out of her room but Elizabeth stopped her.

'Are you sure you're okay?' She asked the girl. 'Yes. What should be the matter?' Clara shrugged and she walked out of the room. Elizabeth followed her downstairs. 'And? Scarlett immediately came running up to Elizabeth. 'She is indeed hiding something. She was looking at her phone very worriedly and when I came in there was suddenly nothing to worry about.' Whispered Elizabeth. 'I knew it.'

'Scar, please let it rest for now. Let's get 2022 off to a good start. There's no point in discussing it now in front of everyone.' Said Elizabeth. Scarlett thought for a moment and then nodded. 'Okay, but if I notice it's getting worse I'll speak to her about it.'

'Hey Mary-Kate! Hey Ashley! Clara sat down next to the well-known Olsen twins. 'Hey Clara, what's up?' Asked Ashley. 'Fine and with you guys? Thanks so much for the dress.' Said Clara. 'You're welcome. How was the school dance?' Asked Mary-Kate. 'Hmm that was a letdown.' Answered Clara. 'Lizzie already told me something like that. Hopefully next time it will be more fun.' Smiled Ashley.

The music was stopped. 'Guys, it's time for a game. Who wants to play twister with me?' Chris asked. 'How much has he had on? Whispered Mary-Kate into Ashley's ear. Clara heard it and chuckled. 'Come on nobody? Inquiringly, Chris looked at the group but no one responded enthusiastically. 'Maybe we should start 30 seconds.' Suggested Sebastian.

'I'm good at that.' Said Ashley. 'Then I'll go with you.' Said Chris directly. 'Haha delicious you are.' Chuckled Scarlett, 'How do you mean fanatical.' Laughed Elizabeth. 'What, if you had said you were good at 30 seconds I would have chosen you.' Said Chris.

Teams were made among themselves. Scarlett, Florence and Clara were a threesome, Chris and Ashley went together, Mary-Kate with Sebastian, Robbie and Colin formed a team and lastly you had Elizabeth and Hailee. The purpose of the game was simple.

One team member is given a card with five terms on it that you must describe. In thirty seconds, your teammate tries to guess what is on your card. The more terms that are guessed the more spaces on the game board you can move forward.

They started the game and after more than an hour Sebastian and Mary-Kate won. Happy, they gave each other a high-five. 'You guys got lucky with the cards.' Shouted Chris. 'Yeah, I'd say so.' Defended Sebastian. 'It's true. Chris and I were just unlucky.' Said Ashley. 'You just can't stand losing.' Chuckled Elizabeth.

'Okay, I think it's time for some drinks. Who can I pour some for?' Asked Scarlett. All hands immediately went up. 'So everyone.' Scarlett walked to the kitchen, 'I'll help you.' Mary-Kate followed Scarlett into the kitchen.

The music turned on and the conversations began again. Clara sat down on the corner of the sofa and she looked at the people. If you had told her four months ago that she would be celebrating New Year's Eve with all these celebrities she would have thought you were crazy. She couldn't believe that this was now her life. She was in a room with all these people who had accomplished something in their lives. Compared to them, she was nothing at all....
