"Are you sure this is fine?" I question as I'm sitting in my seat confused.
"Yes! Thank you so much for coming with me Rory" she smiles and it grows from Eden Williams.
"No problem" I smile back.
"I hate Atlas, I can't believe he did this. Not that it's a bad thing it's just-"
"No no it's fine Rory really. Atlas didn't want the ticket to go to waste and thank God you were the only one available to go with me" she responds.
"He's missing out anyways" I joke around as she laughs with me.
"Exactly!" she replies.
Atlas is my cousin and Eden is his girlfriend. Apparently he didn't know he was part of the mandatory restaurant stimulation he had to go to and I'm the last minute replacement.
"Eden I don't know much about hockey" I mention as I glance at my lock screen.
It's been a while since I've ever really been to one.
"It's fine, you'll enjoy it I promise" she smiles.
"Okay" I reply as I decide to look at the arena with a lot of fans and families in their seats.
"Oh how'd you get the tickets again?" I question as she's texting Atlas.
"My dad is one of the Vice Presidents for something with the Devils and so I can go to their home games whenever I want to" she answers.
"Right. I remember Atlas bringing it up one time that you'd watch their games" I recall.
Atlas introduced me to Eden when we were juniors in high school. She went to our rival school actually. It took me a while to trust her since Atlas never had the best childhood between the two of us and it's hard for him to trust anyone.
I witnessed her comforting him one night and that's when I realized she was the right one for him. He finally let her in and eventually I let her in as well because I saw how happy she makes him, for that I'll always be thankful.
"Yes ma'am" she smiles before putting her mask back on and closing her water bottle.
Eden Gabriela Williams is one of the friendliest people I've ever met. I can see why my cousin fell for her. Her bright hazel eyes stand out along with her dark brown hair that compliments her tan skin.
Atlas learned a lot of Portuguese from her since she's half Portuguese from her mother.
Over the course of knowing her, we've grown close and she's someone I can trust.
I watch as the New Jersey Devils start with a face off with the New York Rangers. Eden and I have good seats as we're sitting two rows behind the players.
The game seems to be going well considering I understand half of what's going on. The Devils don't have any penalties so far, for the first 6 minutes of the game.
I randomly make eye contact with one of the players shit. I immediate look away and look up to the stats of the game on the Jumbotron.
Awkward
He won't know who I am anyways since I have my mask on. It'll be okay.
Just when I thought everything was going well one of the players from the Devils received a penalty.
"Are you fucking kidding me! BULLSHIT! PUT BRATT BACK ON THE ICE!" Eden yells as everyone continues booing.
"He got a penalty for what though?" I question confused just before the referee stated what the penalty is.
