Ellen's surprised that Luke's been coming over more for the remainder of the time Jack and I are in Michigan.
His excuse is that he has "a lot of free time" if there's nothing hockey related going on. It's actually because Jack and I want to hang out with him as much as possible before we leave.
And he didn't hesitate to say yes at all. Other than him sitting in the middle back seat through the car rides, he really didn't mind "third wheeling" Jack and I.
That night, I slept really comfortable in Jack's arms, knowing we'd be leaving the next day.

I remember to return Luke's Umich hoodie since it's not Jack's that I can just steal and return when I felt like it.
Luke answers his door when I knock.
"Yeah?" he speaks up.
"Your hoodie" I say holding it out for him to take it.
"Before I forget giving it back to you" I joke as he goes along.
"Oh Rory, you can have it" he says gesturing that he doesn't want it back.
"What? This is yours though"
He smiles "I have a lot of Umich stuff so you can keep that one too remember me by"
"Awhhhh Luke I'll miss you" I smile as I pull him into a hug.
"I'm only a call or text away if you ever need someone to talk to okay?" I talk and he nods understanding.
"Rory I have something for you" Ellen calls.
"Oh you do?" I turn towards her as Luke leaves his room.
"Yes! Come with me" she says taking my hand and leading us into her bedroom.
"So I was looking through my stuff because for a second I knew it I had it" she says as I sit on the foot of the bed.
"This is for you" she says handing me a small box.
I open the box and it's a necklace with a rose pendant.
"Mama Ellen you really don't have to" I say admiring the rose.
"It's yours honeybug" she replies bringing me in a hug.
"My grandmother gave that to me when I was younger and I've kept it ever since. I remember that I had it when you told us your full name and I've been looking for it from that moment" she explains.
"I love it so much thank you" I smile, maybe I'm tearing up a little bit.
"Your welcome" she smiles.
"Do you want me to put it on you?" She questions.
"Yes please"
After she puts it on, I look at my reflection in the mirror.
Wow
"You look so beautiful" She smiles.
"Thank you. I'm going to keep this safe, I promise" I say as I give her another hug.
"Rory?" Jimmy calls me from his office.
"Yes?" I say approaching him.
"I also have something for you" he mentions.
"Oh you do?"
He hands me a brown journal with my name on it Aurora Rose.
"Jimmy you really didn't have to" I smile.
