"5th Ave?" I speak up as we get out of the car.
"Everytime I'm here, I wind up in 5th Ave" she explains.
I finished my classes around 12 and Ellen picked me up right after.
"We should go to Soho next time you're here" I mention.
"Oh yes! Of course, I'm enjoying your company already" she smiles.
We go to a few stores and there isn't anything that interests me so far. Ellen bought Luke a few things from Kith for Luke, Jack, and Quinn, with a whole bunch of convincing to pay for my things which she really wanted to so I gave in.
"So how are you and Jack?" she questions as we're walking around Saks Fifth Ave.
"Like the two of us?" I question back.
"Mhm"
"We're okay. Things are going well for us. I like who I am when I'm with him" I smile and she smiles at my response.
"I feel like I can't say anything that Jack's already told you and I feel like he's told you almost everything" I admit.
"It's okay sweetheart" she smiles. "Jack tells me a lot but I'd like to hear things from your perspective. You can tell me anything okay? No rush. I'll be here to listen"
"Welllllllll. We have this tradition that whenever they win, we'd go out and celebrate together. So far we've been having fun with it"
"That's adorable. It's like this special thing that the two of you do"
"Yeah exactly. I feel like it's just the two of us where we make contact during his game- well that's how we kind of spotted each other when we met. We just happened to make a lot of it and it somewhat bothered me in a way. But there's just something different whenever I look into his eyes" I talk as she nods assuring me that she's listening.
"It's not a bad thing. They're just mesmerizing?" I blush as she smiles.
"I don't really meet that many people with blue eyes" I mention.
"And the way we talk about the universe like it's our favorite thing to talk about because it is" I smile.
"Jack's never mentioned a girl or brought her to meet us since he was? In the 8th grade" Ellen mentions.
Oh wow
"So when he first told me about you I was fascinated and surprised because it's been a while since he ever spoke of a girl" she smiles.
I'm special or really lucky
"Well I'm glad that I get to meet you because you're one of the best moms I've seen" I tell her.
"Awwwwwh" she coos as she pulls me into a hug that I return. Her hugs are amazing.
"Let's stop at the NHL store" she grins and I agree with her.
"What are the chances that someone recognizes you?" I question.
"Then they notice" she giggles as we enter.
