Mom is gonna come by to check up on you

It's 10:36am.

I don't know what to feel or what I should feel. I figured that maybe going to McDonald's for breakfast would make me feel better.

Yes McDonald's. Sometimes Tita Nika would get Atlas and I breakfast at McDonald's while driving us to school.

"Rory? Honeybug?" Ellen knocks as I open the door.

I give her a sad smile, knowing she knows already. She's all dressed up and ready to go to the arena and here I am in workout clothes ready to hit fucking McDonald's.

"Are you okay honey?" she asks as I pull away from her arms.

I don't look at her but I shrug "I'm going to McDonald's if you want to come with me" I mention as I grab a black mask.

"I'm good, thank you" she replies after checking the bathroom.

I assume to see if Jack left his stuff laying around which I wouldn't be surprised she'd do because he actually left his shirt on the floor.

"I know you're upset about this and I'm sorry that you weren't asked to be included when it has everything to do with you" Ellen apologizes.

"It's okay. I'm just upset and I'm trying to process it by going about my day" I reply.

"I can stay here with you and we can both watch the game together" she suggests.

"No it's okay. You should go. I'm really fine here" I answer.

She gets a call and steps back for a second.

"I'm with her right now Jim" she talks on the phone.

"She needs space and she's fine right now" she goes on.

"I'll be there in an hour" Ellen adds before saying goodbye.

"Honeybug, are you sure that you're going to be okay?" she questions again.

"Yes Mama Ellen. I'll be fine. Lester can also keep me company" I say with a smile.

"I think he's waiting for you at the end of the hall. We can all leave together" she talks as I grab my black mask.

I grab my fanny pack "Yeah sure" I reply as I follow her out.

After greeting Lester we all make our way down to the lobby.

"I'll see you for dinner later Rory, okay honey?" she says as she brings me to a hug.

"Yes! I will! Have fun at the game" I mention before Lester and I leave the hotel.

"Have you ever been to any hockey games Lester?" I ask.

"A lot in my life. I've been a body guard to lots of players over the years" he answers as I listen to him talk on our way to McDonalds. I just take the breakfast for to go and pay for Lester's order as well.

We were leaving the McDonald's when I saw this shirt in the front of American Eagle and I just thought of getting it for Luke because it looks like something he'd wear. Lester comes inside with me so I can get the top for him. After looking for Luke's size I pay for it before leaving for the hotel.
