My Past, Present, and Future [Bakugo x Reader x Todoroki]

Chapter 12

[A/N: I'm going to be completely and totally honest with you, I've tried to write the jousting section of this arc like 4 different times and I just can't do it. I give up. Maybe I'll go back and try a 5th time one day but I just can't do it. The only important thing I'd want to express is you picked Todoroki because the points were far enough apart for a strong team.]

We were finalized and let go for lunch. I walked around the cafeteria where they were selling all kinds of snacks and food. I spot my favorite cafe has a stand and I rush over.

"Ah, Arisu. Can't say I'm surprised to see you here." A sweet old lady came up to the counter.

"Hi Sal," I smiled. I come here so often I know most of the employees, Sal is not only my favorite but also the owner of the local small cafe. She's never told me her full name though, everyone always calls her Sal. "I'll take my regular."

"Coming right up." She smiles.

I wait to the side and see Todoroki and Izuku walk to a corner.

With how they were talking earlier, this can't be good.

"Sal I'll be back in a sec." I announce as I slowly walk towards them.

I put my back to the wall and lean close to the edge to hear. I feel someone step behind me and put their hand on my shoulder. I tense up and turn to see Katsuki of all people. He had his finger on his lips telling me to be quiet. I nodded and went back to listening.

"So what is it really? Are you All Might's love child or something?" Todoroki asks in complete seriousness. I have to bite my tongue to stop myself from laughing.

"W-what? No! Why would you think that?" Izuku stammers.

I swear to god you make it sound like that's the actual truth

"I'm Endevors son as you know," Todoroki continues, "and All Might of course is his rival. I can tell that he has taken a liking to you. I don't know your relationship exactly but it's a nice secret you have one nonetheless. Because of this, this gives me more of a reason to defeat you. Now I hate that bastard but I'm going to show him that I can take the No.1 spot without using his fire."

"Um why are you telling me this?? or what is this even about?" Izuku asked just as confused as I.

"My father is all about fame, strength, publicity, and wealth, so naturally he got involved with quick marriages. My father married my mother in order to have stronger kids, but I am no longer going to be his guinea pig." Todoroki started going off, "He hurt my mother and my family so I will be defeating you with my ice. I refuse to use his rotten quirk. Just thought I'd give him a little bit of an explanation." He turns to start walking back.

"Quick say something stupid so we can argue and it looks like we weren't eavesdropping." I whisper to Katsuki.

"Why can't you say something stupid?" He whispers back.

"Because we all know you're the arrogant one." I whisper a bit louder than a last time.

"Arrogant? Says the one named jumpy. You jump so much I think your brain is rattling a bit too much in your head" He says now speaking normally.

"The only reason you call me 'jumpy' is because of my quirk that has nothing to do with literally jumping. Like you might not be smart but you can be more clever than that." I fire back.

"Well, do you have any better ideas?!" He asked.

"I don't know my name?!" I suggested.

"Not gonna happen smartass."
