Chapter 36

The next morning I woke up earlier than I was expecting. I assumed it's because I was sleeping in a new place and I hadn't yet gotten used to it. I turned over on my phone and looked at the time.

That's plenty of time to spare for me.

I threw on a zip up jacket and went downstairs in my sweatpants. I didn't bother getting changed yet, I needed to walk around and stretch my legs. I'm never up early, I wanted to take advantage of it.

When I walked out of the bathroom and turned into the common area I saw Kaminari laying on the couch. I scrunched up my face in confusion and walked next to the couch.

Oh my god he fell asleep.

I cupped my hand over my mouth to keep myself from laughing.

How did this already happen? At least I wasn't the first.

I walked into the kitchen to see what we had to eat. To my demise all that was there was a basket of fruit. I grabbed an orange and sighed to myself. When I walked back out to the common area, expecting to go back upstairs, I saw Shoto standing over Kaminari.

"I can't say I'm surprised he was the first one asleep on the couch." I said walking over to him.

"You're up early." Shoto pointed out.

"I woke up early," I shrugged. "If you're looking for food all we have is a basket of fruit so don't expect a gourmet meal."

"Even if we did have food, I wouldn't expect it to be anything great." He commented.

I looked at the time on my phone to make sure I wasn't going to run late. "Here, hold this. I want to peel my orange." I said placing my phone on the sleeping lightning bolt boy. Suddenly my phone lit up and the charging sound went off.

"Wait- did you see that?" I asked Shoto in disbelief. I picked back up my phone and put it down on Kaminari. It was charging.

"His quirk...can charge things?" Shoto raised his eyebrows. "I guess that makes sense..."

"Quick, give me your phone." I held out my hand and waved it, rushing him. I took his phone and placed it on the boy in front of us. It lit up to charge. "Oh my god."

"What are you guys doing?" I heard Kirishima ask when he walked in.

I waved him over. "Give me your phone."

"My phone?" He asked, walking over to us looking at the sleeping boy who was balancing two phones already. He handed his phone to me.

"Watch this." When I placed it down it too began to charge. I checked the other two phones and confirmed they were still charging too.

"He's an outlet!" Kirishima exclaimed. I shoved him to get him to be quiet. "I mean- he's an outlet!" Kiri whispered.

"What do you think his limit is?" I turned to ask Shoto.

He shrugged, "However many watts his quirk can release before he maxes out. I'd say it would work the same way."

"I gotta get Sero." Kirishima laughed to himself running away.

"I'm going to get a knife for my orange," I said walking back towards the kitchen.

"I thought you said you'd peel it? That's how this started." Shoto asked.

"I got lazy between then and now." I replied.

I successfully found a knife and sliced open the skin of my orange. When I walked back into the common room snacking I saw Sero and Kiri run off and come back with more devices. With every new device was a new student who they'd drag in to show.
