Chapter 16

"For our next fight we have Shoto Todoroki. Last time we saw him in a battle we witnessed the amount of power he has. Against him it's the wonderful Arisu Neri. She has been able to outwit her last opponent's so it will be interesting to see what she does here."

"FIGHT"

Shoto starts out with his usual ice pillars. Arisu just teleport out of the way.

Shit I have no plan whatsoever.

I keep avoiding his ice attacks until he finally tries using his fire. Still just barely able to jump out of the way.

"She's playing defensively." Jirou points out

"She always starts out defensively, I think that's how she plans out her attacks." Tsu commented.

Shoto sends the same pillars he did when he was fighting Sero covering Arisu.

Fuck plans. I have to act now.

I realize there is no way to teleport out of it. I take a deep breath and touch the edge of the pillar and in a blink of an eye it all shatters and explodes.

"NERI IS ABLE TO ESCAPE TODOROSKI ICE RESTRAINTS WITH A NEVER SEEN BEFORE MOVE FROM HER! WHAT WILL SHE DO NEXT?"

"I didn't know how powerful that move was." Kiri says fixing his hair from the blast. "What the hell was that move anyway?"

"Yeah her quirk is more powerful than what meets the eye." Katsui comments.

I shake out my hand. I hadn't done that in a while, I shouldn't push myself too hard though I have to remember that.

Alright enough of me playing around...

I appear in front of Shoto and land a kick that sends him flying back.

"I'm used to your ice, it's no use." I mock

"Try my fire then." He sends flames towards me but I flip over them.

"Touché." I mumble.

He sends more and I just keep running.

I should have teleported him when I kicked him...This would be so much better if I had my gloves....oh fuck it a little burn wouldnt kill me completely.

I decided to risk it. I rip off one of my sleeves while jumping around the arena and tie it around my left hand. Shoto sends fire my way and I hold it out redirectingithe fire his way. He doesn't expect it and falls down to the side. He goes back to using his ice.

"Did she just touch the fire??" Yaoyorozu covers her mouth.

"Is that even realistically possible?" Mina asks.

"We live in a world where people are born with superpowers. We go to a school where they promote trauma as training. Not to mention this is a knock off story some teenager writes when they're bored at 3am. Anything is possible." Shoji breaks the 4th wall.

While I was distracted with his ice he used his fire. I'm able to barely jump out of the way but it sends me flying back and burns part of my gym shirt. revealing my undershirt.

If he was able to use both of his quirks at the same time, I'd be in trouble.

He sends more obstacles but I just avoid them.

I'm such an idiot. Why didn't I just send the ice back to him? Why did I do that with the fire first?? God I need to focus.

I send a blade of his own ice towards him, he barely avoids it and it skims his arm.
