I woke up from the hospital that I was admitted to the other day. When I got here, as soon as they gave me a room, I was knocked out. It could have been from the drugs I was given, or finally being comfortable enough to let my condition catch up to me, but I think I was just exhausted. Going nonstop for over 12 hours is exhausting, you know. All I wanted to do was sleep.

When I woke up I still had a headache but nothing compared to the night before. I opened and closed my eyes, adjusting to the light coming from the open window.

"Ah, you're awake." The nurse next to me, adjusting something, smiled.

"Yeah..." I mumbled, "What time is it?"

"It's 2:35pm." She responded looking at the watch on her wrist.

"Oh, thank you."

"The doctor should be in here shortly to give you a run down of your condition." She finished doing whatever she had to do and left.

The doctor came in and told me my current state. I had a pretty severe concussion. He didn't really know how I was able to stay so active for the next few hours after I had received it, enough to be brought to the hospital still conscious. Of course it made sense as to why I had passed out immediately upon arrival. Luckily I didn't have any brain damage but he said things might seem a bit fuzzy for the next week or so. As long as I didn't push myself I would be ok.

"Especially when using that quirk of yours." He said looking down at his notes. "The side effects of your quirk could easily lead to brain damage, your genetics just prevent it from coming from outside sources since that within itself is its own problem. In summary your brain is genetically 'stronger' for a lack of a better word, than the average person because it's trying to prevent itself from your quirks side effects. So a blunt to the head shouldn't affect it that much. However, pushing yourself too far when using your quirk will speed up the process and seriously damage your neuro system."

He sighed as he stuck his pen back on the top of the clipboard to rest it. "The science of how our brains work is complex as is. Your quirk being very straining, both mentally and physically, only complicates it more. With this concussion you are going to have to take things very slow and easy for a week, maybe two. We're going to monitor how you are today and tonight and you should be dispatched this time tomorrow." He left. As he turned to walk down the hall, All Might entered, still in his now semi-permanent skinny form and with bandages on his own wounds.

"I'm hoping you caught most of that so I don't have to repeat it." I said jokingly.

"I heard enough of it." He sighed as he pulled up a chair. "Besides, we're getting a copy of your diagnosis."

"Good to know." I closed my eyes.

"Neri, when you're dispatched you're going to be expected to give a police report on everything that happened." All Might told me. "Are you capable of doing that or-?"

"As long as I can be in and out of there as soon as possible, I think I'll be fine." I sighed. "When the police ask questions they seem to try and dumb things down to make their paperwork easier. I don't mind simplifying it but sometimes it changes so much the story is incorrect. It gets frustrating, you know."

"I understand..." There was a moment of silence between us before I decided to break it.

"That's not the only reason you came here." I opened one of my eyes and looked at him. "What else is there?"

He sighed and fitted his thumbs for a bit. "I came here to apologize."

I opened both of my eyes and sat up. "What could there be to apologize for?"
