Sevika's footsteps echoed faintly as she approached, the faint hiss of shimmer-fueled mechanics in her arm underscoring her movements. Purple liquid dripped steadily from her damaged prosthetic, each drop a sharp contrast against the dingy floor. She moved cautiously, each step deliberate, toward the man seated at the desk.
He sat with his back to her, inspecting his reflection in a small pocket mirror. The faint glimmer of shimmer beneath his left eye caught the dim light as he dabbed at it with a napkin, his movements slow and precise.
"You're making a mess," he said without turning, his tone calm yet cutting. He wiped delicately beneath his eye once more before snapping the mirror shut with a decisive click.
"The sister and the girl..they are back," Sevika said, her voice low and tinged with unease.
The words hung in the air for a moment before he spun his chair to face her, the sharp motion revealing Silco's calculating gaze.
"From the dead?"

violets povy/n groaned as she looked down at her blood-soaked hand. It wasn't doing much to stem the bleeding, but it was better than nothing. With one arm draped over Caitlyn and the other over me, she staggered forward, her steps uneven. The chatter of voices echoed faintly in the distance—a reminder that Sevika's report would reach Silco soon enough. Time was running thin, and so were her reserves of strength.
Caitlyn's voice broke through y/n's muffled groans. "Silco's goons aren't far behind. We need to keep moving."
The crunch of pebbles and dirt beneath our boots filled the silence as we trudged forward.
My attention was drawn upward as we neared a large, glowing purple sign. It loomed over the path, unfamiliar yet somehow unsettling in its ominous presence.
"What the hell is that?" I muttered, my eyes narrowing at the strange sight.
"The sign," Caitlyn said, equally perplexed. She didn't offer much more before gesturing forward. "Never mind. Let's just get her to the edge."
Reaching a steep cliff, we paused. y/n wriggled free from our grip and stepped forward, peering over the edge. The wind tugged at her hair, and for a moment, she seemed lost in thought.
"Can you do this on your—" Caitlyn began, only for me to cut her off.
"I'll help you down," I said, taking a step closer.
y/n turned to us, a flicker of defiance in her eyes. "I got this... uh... see you at the bottom."
Before either of us could protest, she leaped off the cliff.
"Are you serious?" I shouted, watching as she landed unsteadily on a slanted metal pillar below. She tried to jump to another but misjudged the distance, tumbling hard to the ground.
