Caitlyn kicked the pillar as dust began to fall. Violet ran towards Caitlyn and started to punch the pillar as everything began to shake. Rumbling was to be heard and pipes breaking. The pillars snapped and the purple sign started to tilt. Violet grabbed my hand as she also grabbed Caitlyn's arm and began to run.

"Fuck you-" I told him as I raised my middle finger. Y/N put my hand down as she told him sorry. She looked at me with the look that told me to shut my mouth but it wasn't even my fault. "It was his fault." I told her.

"Vi!" y/n hissed, grabbing my wrist and pulling my hand down. "Sorry," she quickly muttered to the guy I'd just flipped off.

She turned back to me with the look—the one that screamed, Shut up before you make it worse.

"What?" I snapped, my voice laced with frustration. "It was his fault!"

y/n sighed, her patience visibly fraying. "You actually bumped into him first," she pointed out, her tone measured.

I rolled my eyes, crossing my arms in protest. "Whatever," I muttered under my breath.

But y/n didn't argue further. Instead, her gaze shifted upward, her expression morphing into one of quiet focus.

"What are you looking at?" I asked, confused by the sudden change.

She didn't answer. Her eyes were locked on something ahead—a faint plume of blue smoke rising in the distance, curling against the gray sky.

I followed her line of sight, my chest tightening as realization hit me.

"Is that...?"

"Wherever you are," she murmured under her breath, her voice almost inaudible, "light it up, and I'll find you."

A chill ran down my spine. My fists clenched instinctively.

"Go," I said, cutting through the silence as the tension between us snapped like wire.

I told her and we began to run. We ran as fast as we could towards the smoke. I wasn't waiting to find out if it was her or not. But I deeply knew, it was Powder.

Violet ascended the creaking stairs with cautious steps, each one echoing like a heartbeat in the tense silence. At the top, she froze, her breath catching as her eyes locked onto Jinx. For a moment, time seemed to stand still. The girl standing before her was both familiar and unrecognizable, a ghost of the Powder she had known and a shadow of what she'd become.

Hearing the steps, Jinx turned abruptly. Her widened eyes met Vi's, and for an instant, a flicker of the old Powder broke through the hardened mask.

"Vi?" she whispered, her voice small, uncertain, as if saying the name would make the vision vanish.
