after seonghwa had vented to yeosang about everything going on, yeosang started to really trust that things were going to get better and started to spend more time at their apartment again. he did it for both his own sake and for seonghwa's, and it seemed to be working in their favor. seonghwa was doing a lot better with handling his stress, all he needed was yeosang by his side.

it was early on saturday morning when yeosang woke up, no longer feeling seonghwa's arms around him. he shivered lightly at the lack of warmth, then got up and frowned when he couldn't find seonghwa in the room. he heard muffled voices from the living room, following them when he recognized seonghwa's voice.

"stop it... stop trying to get me high, joong... i've already told you i can't," seonghwa muttered, turning away from the younger.

"so you're just gonna let yeosang control what you do and don't do?" hongjoong asked.

"shut the fuck up, joong. that's not what's happening. i'm doing this for myself too. i shouldn't rely on weed to ease my stress."

"sureeee."

"if you didn't actually come here to talk about that job opening where you work... then you should leave."

"i'll just text you about it," hongjoong shrugged.

"great, now if you'll excuse me, i'm gonna go check on my boyfriend and see if he's awake."

"no need to rub it in," hongjoong muttered, rolling his eyes.

"hwa..." yeosang said softly, finally making his way down the hall.

"morning, baby..."

"apologize to joong... please..." yeosang frowned.

"what? but i didn't—"

"that comment was unnecessary, love... you know better."

seonghwa sighed and nodded, looking over at hongjoong, who was putting his shoes on by the door.

"i'm sorry, joong... i shouldn't have rubbed my relationship in your face like that..."

"whatever," hongjoong shrugged, leaving the house quickly.

yeosang frowned a bit deeper, sighing softly as he walked to the couch and sat down. he felt bad that hongjoong was so lonely, the older didn't deserve to feel that way. but it wasn't something yeosang could control, unfortunately.

seonghwa noticed the boy was deep in thought as he sat down by him, snaking an arm around the younger's waist and kissing his temple.

"it's okay, sang... you know that joong and i are like that when we fight... we'll be fine, he just needs to cool off."

"he's really lonely, hwa... you shouldn't make comments like that."

"i know... i just can't help it."

"why was he here so early?"

"claimed he wanted to tell me about a job opening at his work, but turns out he just wanted to try and get me to buy some weed off him."

"did you?"

"buy weed? no... i didn't. i told myself that if i do cave and smoke, i'll go to min's. i'm not buying anymore... for my own sake."

a small smile formed on yeosang's face, quickly sensing that seonghwa wasn't lying.

"okay..."

"hungry? i'll make breakfast if you'd like."

"mmm... can we order? i wanna cuddle for a bit."

seonghwa laughed a bit and nodded.

"whatever you'd like, bug. i'll order soon."
