seonghwa really tried to fix things. he really did. but nothing seemed to go his way anymore, no matter how much he tried. yeosang noticed this too, but he couldn't do much about it. in the end, his actions were his own responsibility.

"seonghwa?" yeosang asked, walking into the kitchen where the older was washing dishes.

"yes?"

"i invited san, woo and jjong over for dinner. are you going to be here?"

"i-if you want i can leave..."

"no! i don't want you too, i just wanted to make sure i get enough food."

"oh... um... sure?"

"great... i'll be back, love. i'm going grocery shopping!"

"can i come?" seonghwa asked softly.

"of course!" yeosang said brightly, surprising seonghwa a bit.

the two made their way down to seonghwa's car a few minutes later, and the older quickly realized there must be some reason that yeosang was so excited.

"what's the occasion?" he asked.

"i knew you'd catch on," yeosang giggled. "a couple of things, actually. san got a new job, he's going to be working at a dance studio down the street from their apartment! it's also the anniversary of the day i met woo back when we were kids... last year we didn't get to celebrate it like we usually do since his family was away."

"anything new with jjong?"

"well... he thinks he's ready to try and look for a job, so that's another kind of exciting thing we're celebrating tonight. i told him not to pressure himself into it or anything, but he's been insisting that he does."

"you're a really good friend to him, sang..." seonghwa muttered glumly.

the older still felt guilty for being such an asshole to the younger, especially after hearing about his father's passing.

"have you talked to him yet?"

seonghwa shook his head.

"do that tonight... he's going to appreciate it a lot more than you think."

"really?"

yeosang nodded, a small smile on his face as seonghwa parked.

"i-i just... i feel like nothing's getting better... what if i mess up?"

"you'll be okay... jjong will know you're trying. just be aware of your words and you should be okay."

"okay..."

the two got out of the car and went into the store, seonghwa pushing the cart while yeosang picked out what he needed. the trip went smoothly up until they were in line to check out, when wooyoung called.

quickly, yeosang answered, mouthing "wooyoung" to seonghwa so he would know who he was talking to.

yeosang's expression changed as soon as he picked up, frowning a bit.

"honey, what's wrong?" yeosang asked.

"i-i'm just... i'm having a bad day, that's all... i snapped at san earlier and since then i've just felt... off."

"are you still going to be coming over later? we can always reschedule if you want..."

"n-no! i'm coming, i am... i just... i needed someone to talk to, i guess."

"i'm at the store with hwa right now... do you want me to have him drop me off for a few on our way home? or do you want us to pick you up?"

"i-i don't want to be a bother..."
