Birthday accident chapter 40

"Happy birthday babe." I yelled when i jumped on Curren then kissed his lips. "I hope you like pancakes." I said laughing at how many i made for only two of us. We got to the kitchen table and i said "instead of the mall i want to buy you a kitten or a puppy whatever you want." Before smiling and then texting Ben to come eat pancakes with us. "Why are there so many pancakes?" Ben asked. "How did you make all these without waking me up?" Curren asked. "There are so many pancakes because I'm not good at math and i didn't wake you up because i made sure not to set off the fire alarm and I'm surprised it worked." I said while smiling.

"You ready for the day?" I asked after Ben left and we finished the pancakes. "Yup, first a lazy morning, then lunch then skating then pet store then present then back home." He said. "Actually change of plans i said. "What?" He asked before i said "lazy morning, lunch out, pet shop, other present then skating at The Berrics." I said. "As long as I'm with you i don't care what happens." Before i took his hand and ran to the couch and let go of his hand right before i jumped over the back of it and Curren came and sat beside me so i cuddled into his side and we just talked about anything and everything we could think of.

After a lazy morning we went for lunch and walked around for a while until we went to the pet store. "This one is perfect." He said when he spotted a calico cat. "We can name her sprinkles." He then said while we went to the person and got the kitten. We went home and i gave Curr his other present which was a promise ring. Then we got ready and went to The Berrics. 'We are on our way' i texted Ben when i got in the car. I held his hand as i drove to the party until i herd a crash and i started to feel pain all over.

"GET THE GIRL OUT OF THE CAR NOW!" I faintly herd. "TALIA!" I herd someone yell "TALIA!" I herd my name again "TALIA!" Was the last thing i herd before i blacked out but i knew that voice from somewhere.

"Where am i?" I asked when i saw nothing but clouds. "In between life and death." Someone answered. "Who are you?" I asked "you can't find out until its your time to go, but now is not that time." The voice said. "How do i get back?" I asked more confused. "What happened to me?" I asked. "You got in a car crash and how you get back is up to you." I herd before the voice disappeared. "How do i get back to where i was?" I asked again before i closed my eyes and wished to be home.

"Hello?" I questioned weakly when i found myself on a hospital bed and herd crying. "Talia?" I herd through the tears. I felt moving by my feet and it hurt a lot "Talia?" I herd again from a voice i recognized but couldn't put a name to. "Who are you?" I asked. "Doctor, someone?" I herd yelling before footsteps out of my room.

"How are you feeling?" The doctor asked me. "Im in a lot of pain, who was in my room before you came?" I asked. "Thats your boyfriend Curren Caples." He replied before i cut in "The pro skateboarder?" "Yes." He said before he said "Curren is going to come back in and spend time with you." He said. "Ok." I replied before he walked out and Curren ran to my side. "Talia, babe im so glad your ok, ever since the car crash," he said before i asked "how long was a gone for?" And he replied "about a month, why?" "I was in between life and death and it only seemed like a few hours." I replied then added "come up here and cuddle with me, i miss you." Before he carefully came up and cuddled up to me.

"I missed you, hows your birthday present the cat?" "Good, everyone misses you, the first couple of weeks they wouldn't let me see you but i stayed everyday as long as i could in the waiting room until i was allowed to see you when they changed your room, then i wouldnt leave your room, your parents came to see how you were doing but no one thought you would make it, i stayed with you every day you've been in this room and they kept on saying, 'whatever you are doing keep it up she's starting to show better signs day by day' and i said on the first day 'all im doing is sitting on this chair talking to her and kissing her lips and nose and holding her hand' and they asked 'your the boyfriend' and i said 'yes' and i think soon you will be able to come home with me."

"We have to go somewhere first." He said when we were getting to the car. "Wheres my car?" I asked. "Junk yard, don't worry ill get you a new one." He said before he grabbed my hand and squeezed it before letting it go and driving to a car dealership. "You need a new car and you got out on valentines day, ill let you pick the car out and ill buy it for you." He said before getting me into the wheelchair. "Alright i want a purple one, or maybe orange how about a neon pink car yeah yeah neon pink." I said picking the colour. I found the perfect car and we were going to the guy to buy it and he said that it actually came in neon pink but he had to order it and it would take a few days to come so we said "ok" before we left.

"Here we are." He said when we pulled up to The Berrics. "What are we doing?" I asked. "You'll see." He said before getting out and helping me out. "Alright lets go." Curren said before pushing me to the skate park. "I cant skate this wont be any fun." I said while pouting. "What we are doing you don't have to skate." He said before we got into the building and there was a banner with 'happy really late birthday Curren' and underneath it said 'welcome home Talia' i asked "whats this?" And Curren looked at me and said "I knew you would be sad that you missed my birthday when you found out so i did this." He said while carefully hugging me.
