Opening of Maple Skate Park chapter 57

I woke up the next morning wrapped up in Curren's arms. "Like old times." I said out loud. "Just like old times." Curren said. "Have you found out why you broke up with me yet?" I asked. "Because i didn't feel like we were going anywhere, we did the same thing day in and day out i needed something new i guess but i was an idiot." He said. "You were stupid i can tell you that, you let an amazing girl go, because of some stupid reason."

"It was a really stupid reason." He said. "I miss this a lot, now let's go get ready but in a few minutes." I said. So we snuggled a little longer before we had to get ready for the opening today. "Talia, do you want us to start loading pool noodles then go get the tables or get the tables then come back here?" Candi yelled up to my room. "Go get the tables then come back here." I said before there was a knock at the door "got it." Ceci then yelled and i herd Ben and my other guy friends. "Yo Talia, i brought some more friends someone said you had pool noodles to bring to the park." Then i herd Candi say "in that room, just load some into your cars, there like 78 pool noodles." "Good to know my friends know what to do." I said to Curren while walking out of the bathroom. "Yeah, luckily i get you all to myself for the next few minutes." He said.

"We still aren't dating, you can't kiss me anymore." I said reminding him. "I hate that fact, why cant we be together we are both single now." He said pointing out that fact. "Because i want to know the real reason you broke up with me." I said before he went to the bathroom and i helped load things into cars. "Curren, you coming?" I asked him. "Yeah yeah, do i have to drive?" He asked me. "Nope, we got all of the pool noodles in Tate's, Ben's, Cody's, Ceci's and my cars." I said. "Can i ride with you?" He asked me. "Yeah sure you can."

We got into my car and i drove us down to my skate park. Once everyone was there we set up the tables for the spray paint, the lights then another truck came and Tate took care of the actual lights as the were being installed. The i put the wal-mart skateboards and pool noodles around the park. "THE PRIZES." I yelled and Curren asked "You did buy them right?" I said "of course, before we broke up i think. It could have been after." I said. Ben went back to my apartment and got all the prizes as i was setting up the other tables that will have the prizes on them with Ashton's help. Ben came back with everything and we set it all up with a few minutes to spare.

People started to come and skate, and do whatever, there was a toll both type thing that takes loose change to get in, Tate's idea. It was a perfect start to the afternoon. People started to find the boards and pool noodles we hid and they started to have a pool noodle war before Tate and his friends left and half an hour later they came back with more pool noodles, before Candi then left and came with even more and they kept on leaving until every single person had a pool noodle and we all had a huge skate park pool noodle fight. Layne came when we were setting up and started to take pictures of the before set up, and he said he would continue all day and he called some more photographers and the whole day was captured.

I saw each of the pro skateboarders here so i went up and said hi to every one of them, and i said hi to most of the kids who came. As i was walking around one of the teenagers came up to me and told me since i was the owner i should spray paint something on the top of the bathroom wall and i did just that, i told everyone they could start painting the ground after that and the park was decorated by the kids teenagers adults and pro skateboarders. I saw Curren talking to some girl in the middle of all the fun, talking to some blonde chick. Then i saw Summer and went to talk to her.

After the pool noodle fight we went on to the skate competition, we had special contest for the BMX kids and i also got things for the scooter kids. After that we got music, random local bands i found while driving around. After that it was almost 4:30 and every one started to leave the park so it could close, we have self closing gates, and i got security guards for it, only today it will close early to find out if everything actually does work. "Ready to go?" I asked everyone. Layne said "one minute" before he went to the spray paint wall which is actually pretty amazing and took a few pictures of it and as soon as he came out a van pulled up and one of the reporters from the newspaper got out and said "i was in here taking pictures of everything, all the pictures will be on the paper's website by the day after tomorrow, but i was wondering if i could get a picture of all of you together in front of the park for the front page of the paper." We all said of course and got into a group before our picture was taken and the reporter left. "The last table is in the truck Candi, everything else is in your car besides the pool noodles, what are we doing with those?" Austyn and Cody asked. "Im putting a sign up telling all the kids to take them away." I replied. "That's nice." Curren said. "Anything for happiness at the skate park." I said before we all left.

"I saw you talking to some chick today Curr." I said when we were out of the parking lot. "Yeah, her name is Isabella, shes cute, but not as beautiful as you." He said. "You like her?" I asked. "Well yes and as we aren't dating i can go out with whoever i want, so im going to ask her out." He said. "Still trying to get over me." I said under my breath, but of course Curren herd me and said "of course I'm not trying to get over you, I'm trying to find out why i broke up with you in the first place, maybe a new girl will help me find out why, Summer helped me realize part of why, i was scared we weren't going anywhere." He said. "Part one, found part two to be found soon." I said. After a while of talking i pulled up to our apartments and we said bye then went to our own apartments.
