Meeting families chapter 49

I woke up the next morning to Curren not being in bed with me and i was use to it by now, so i texted and he said "at my parents i had to talk to them about something." So i got ready and my parents and i went to IHop.

"When is Kate coming?" I asked them while we were in the car. "Noon." My mom said. "Who is picking her up?" I asked. "We didnt think that far." My dad said. "Is it alright if my friend Candi picks her up or we can all go as a family." I said. "Could Candi pick her up then we can get ready, i told her what we were doing and told her to wear a nice dress on the plane under her sweats so all she has to do is take clothes off and do hair and makeup." My mom said. I texted Candi when we were and she said sure so i told my mom "Alright she will pick Kate up." And we were waiting.

"Curren, Talia so nice to see you again." Shelley said to us. "Nice to see you too." I said while hugging her. "these are my parents, my mom Clarissa and my dad Mark and my younger sister Kate." I introduced them then said "mom, dad this is Currens mom Shelley." Before his dad and sister came to the door and i said "this is Currens dad Evan and his little sister Peyton." I finished.

We walked into the living room and we were talking while Shelly went back into the kitchen to finish and half an hour later we were eating. During dessert Curren said that he had an announcement to make and his mom got her phone out and started to record us as Curren got down on one knee and said "Talia, i know that we haven't known each other a year, and I'm 22 and you will be 22 by the end of the month and people will say that thats too young to do this but they can't put an age on love, Talia Skyler Marro i love you and i will love you to the end of time, i gave you that promise ring on christmas to say prove that i will love you forever, but i want that back." He said. I had a look of horror and said "w-w-w-what." I said before he thought about what he just said and said "oh, no no no no no, you are most likely thinking the wrong thing, i only want it back so i can give you this," before he pulled out the most beautiful engagement ring I've ever saw. "So Talia Skyler Marro will you do the honours of being Mrs. Talia Skyler Marro?" He asked me. "Yes yes yes, yes i will marry you Curr." I said as we both got up and hugged then he slipped the ring on my finger and we turned to our families.

"This is what you two talked about isn't it?" I asked my dad. "Yeah, he wanted my permission to ask you to marry him and i gladly gave him it because i can see how happy he's made you and i can see how happy you make him." "Thanks dad." I said before hugging him. "Mom what do you think?" I asked her. "I still think this relationship was too fast, and you should come back home and be with Mat." She said. "So you dont agree with this relationship?" I asked her. "Not at all, i want you to come home and be with Mateo, i think that will make you happy, not this, this is barely a relationship." She replied. "You have no clue whats good for me." i said getting a little louder. "You have no clue whats been going on in my life, no messages on Facebook no way of contacting me at all, you only want me to be with Mateo because he's rich, well news flash i never liked him, i just went out with him to make you happy, but now its my time to be happy." I said still getting louder. "Talia, we are getting and extra plane ticket and you are coming back with us, now give the kid his ring back and lets go pack your things." She said calmly.

I started yelling "YOU DONT GET IT, YOU'RE ONLY WITH DAD BECAUSE OF ME AND KATE, YOU DONT LOVE HIM, YOU'R PARENTS SET EVERYTHING UP FOR YOU, YOU HAD YOUR FUTURE SET UP EVERYTHING YOU ARE DOING IS BECAUSE OF GRANDMA AND GRANDPA, WELL GUESS WHAT, IM NOT LISTENING TO YOU, WHEN WE GO BACK TO MY APARTMENT I WANT YOU TO PACK YOUR THINGS AND GO TO A HOTEL AND NOT BOTHER ME OR CURREN OR ANY OF OUR FRIENDS." My mom looked at me and once again calmly said "you are coming back home with us." I yelled "THIS IS MY HOME." Then said "they say home is where the heart is and my heart is here with Curren, this is my home not my birth place." "You're heart belongs with your family, with us not them or him." She said. "Call a taxi and get out of my face i don't want to see you every again birth giver." I said dead serious. "We will come to your apartment for our things after we find a hotel, but I'm telling you now, if we leave right now we will disown you." I thought for a split second before saying "very well, my real family supports every single thing i do so you're not my real family, just remember when you disown me, you will never see your grand babies." I said.

"Well at least your dad was there for you and not traveling around all the time." She said. "He's allowed to bring whoever he wants on his trips with him, which means me and the kids will get to travel the world too." I said before my parents walked out and my sister hugged me before running out with the life givers then i turned to Currens parents and said "i am so sorry about all of that, me and my parents don't get along that well because i left them in my home town." Shelley spoke up and said "Im sorry you had her as a mother, shes not fit." Before Currens family had a group hug around me and i felt much better.
