Dates and parties part 1 chapter 26

I woke up on the couch with Curren holding my waist so i turned around so that i was face to face with him after a while of being bored i kissed his cheek. "Today is Cici's birthday," I said to Cur a few minutes after he woke up. "We have to pick up presents for her and you said that we were going to go on a date, so maybe our date can end at The Berrics?" I asked him smiling. "Yeah sure i mean she is one of your close skate friends, i just have to rearrange a couple of things." He said. "So what are we doing today?" "You'll see later now go call someone to help you get ready, im going to Bens apartment to do everything i need to do for this date, oh and if we are going to a party after now you need to bring a change of clothes, just wear whatever for the first part."

"Alright now go." I said and he did so i thought about who to text but I think Coco and Candi would be out somewhere and I am no longer talking to Tegan so I can't text anyone. I need to make new friends and super fast, maybe I should text Candi first. ~Hey Candi I have a first date with Cur tonight could you come and help me get ready Tegan is no longer my friend and it's Cicis birthday so I can't ask her i changed apartments so ill be outside when you come~ ~Sure I can I'll be there in five~ she replied back quick she much be close to me. Exactly five minutes after her text was sent I opened the door and there she with some dresses in her hands for tonight. "So that's what you were doing, coming to drop me off dresses for tonight." I said when I saw her.

I got dressed into what Cur told me to, something i usually wear after trying on dress after dress for what seemed like forever but there where like 10 dresses and its me. Well you see, i haven't worn a dress since i was 18 and i am now 21. "Alright so he should be back here soon, did i tell you what happened with Tegan?" I asked her. "No what did she do?" Candi asked me. "Well we went to pick her up and she was standing on her doorstep with my ex boyfriend Mateo, i have a feeling he was cheating on me with her." I explained. "Oh so shes why you moved and everything, have you two have contacted each other since?" "Nope and can you tell Cici so she doesnt come to the birthday party please?" I begged before i herd a knock at the door. "Sure she said before i took the dress i picked from her and she opened the door. Curren was standing there with flowers so Candi invited him in and then after saying bye to us she left.

"Well are you ready to go?" He asked me after i put the flowers in a vase. "Sure lets go." I said and he grabbed my hand and after we got into the car we left.

Curren pulled into a driveway of a random house. "Arto Saari's house." He said after he turned the engine off and i looked at him. "I called him and asked him if i could use his house tonight for a date and he said "Sure, but you don't have to go to a fancy restaurant i got your back plus isn't it one of her close friends birthday party at The Berrics tonight?" I replied with "yeah but what do you mean by i got your back." He didn't say anything else after that just hung up and now we are here so im not really sure whats going on right now. Curren got two skateboards out of the trunk and then closed it.

We walked up to the door and Curren knocked, some man who I'm pretty sure is Arto opened the door and said "Hello Curren," he said when he saw Cur. "and you must be Talia," after he turned towards me. "welcome to my house." He finished. "We are just going to go outside and skate in the pool call us when dinners ready ok Arto." Curren said to Arto when we got inside and the door was closed. We got outside and Curren got to the pool. "He drains it out at certain times in the year, I'm lucky that this is one of those times." "Yeah its nice and private." I replied getting to the pool. Cur set his board down and gave one to me then we started to skate.

After what feels like forever of skating Arto called us back inside and he set up his dinning room sort of like a restaurant with candles and everything. We talked for a while before Arto's wife started to bring us out food and we began to eat everything in sight right up until all the food was gone and the family just stared at us in disbelief that we ate all the food they made us like they where expecting a lot left over. "So thank you so much for all of this, it was nice meeting you both but we have to go get changed for my friends birthday party, shes the reason me and Curren even met in the first place." "Thanks for everything Arto, see you soon for another pool sesh soon?" Cur asked Arto before Arto replied with "sure anything for a teammate." With a smile and a wave then we left to go get ready.

"So that was nice of him." I said breaking the silence between us. "Yeah he thinks of us younger guys as his children and would do anything for anything as he only has a daughter and she is like 10 and not into skateboarding at all." He replied. "Oh, i see but i didn't start skateboarding until i was 14 so theres still time for him." I said remembering the first time i stepped on a skateboard.

We got to our apartment and went to go change into our clothes for a little later tonight. I got changed and couldn't get it zipped up so i walked down the stairs trying not to trip after calling for Curren i almost trip down the last couple of steps but Curren caught me and then placed me on the floor so i turned around and asked him to zip my dress up and after he did i asked him if he was ready to go and after he said yes we left to The Berrics.
