The Berrics chapter 53

I woke up and noticed i was still on the couch, its become my best friend lately when i sleep, i barely make it to my bed any more as its in my room which happened to use to be mine and Curren's room. It felt weird sleeping without the boy in a queen sized bed only because i was alone in such a big bed. I texted Chaz and asked him if he wanted to hang out and he said he would pick me up in an hour and take me for pancakes then we would go to The Berrics.

"Babe." I said when i opened the door, it felt weird not calling Curren that but someone else and i jumped on Cheese. "Hey, someones happy." He said smiling at me. "Well yeah i am because pancakes and skating with Cheese is the best." I said before he kissed me and i got my skateboard then he carried me to his car and he opened the door for me and closed it then put my board in his trunk. When he got in he started the car and drove to Denny's so we had pancakes then drove to The Berrics where i said most of the flip team. " DAVID!" I yelled and ran to the boys. "TALIA." David yelled before i jumped on him. "ALEC!" I yelled before hugging him then i did the same with Louie.

"Are you dating Chaz now?" David asked me. I wasn't sure if i should tell people so i told the boys one moment and walked to Chaz and asked him if i could tell people we were dating and he said sure. So i walked back over to my group of friends and said "yes i am." While smiling. "You only use to smile like that with Curren." Alec pointed out. "Oh, really?" I said. "Yeah, you wouldn't happen to be over him would you." Louie asked. "I don't know, i mean we had a nice long relationship but Curren and Ben think that we need some time apart, so I'm dating Chaz to find out how i really feel about Caples." I said my smile turning into a frown. "How long has it been since you last seen him?" Louie asked me. "Since he bruised my arm why?" I asked."he bruised your arm?" David asked me. "Yeah, he grabbed my arm too hard." I said before Alec left walking towards the door and when i turned around Curren was there talking to Chaz with Summer under his arm.

To say it didn't hurt would be a lie, one big fat lie. i saw that Alec was walking towards Curren so i stopped him before he did anything stupid because they are teammates and the last thing i want is for teammates to hate each other because of me. After i walked up to them so Chaz put his arm around me and as the two boys were talking i turned to Summer and said "I'm sorry for breaking your nose, but when someone threatens me or something or someone i love i will stop at nothing to stop them, that was wrong of me and you don't have to forgive me, but its been on my mind and thats usually not me i don't know what came over me i am so very sorry for hurting you." "Im sorry but i guess i was just jealous i don't get why he's with me, its clear that he's in love with you he compares me to you all the time and it sucks for me but i also find it cute that hes in love with you, you two are just stringing me and Chaz along." She said. "Maybe we are but maybe Curren is just not over me yet, Alec pointed out the way i use to smile with Curren is the way i was smiling talking about being with Steez Ortiz here." I said.

"Ill find ways to keep his mind off of you i guess, but can we still come to your park opening?" She asked me. "Yeah it's opening May second." I said. "I see, what are you going to do about the scooter kids though, i mean we wouldnt want anyone hurt." She says. "Theres a place in the park for scooter kids so they don't interfere with the BMX and skateboarders in the front, its fenced off from the rest of the park so they don't get hurt, i just want everyone safe in my park." I said. Curren then asked "you actually built that part for the kids, did you find a good sign person because i may know someone." I smiled and said "if i gave you a copy of the rules could you get the sign people to make me a sign please." He smiled and said "of course." "Cheese, can we go skate now?" I asked Chaz. "Cheese?" The other two asked. "Yeah, shes decided to call me Cheese for some reason." Curren laughed and said "you just need to get use to the weirdness that is Talia Skyler Marro." I smacked his arm the got my board from Chaz and went to go skate with the three other Flip members and Curren and Chaz.

After a morning filled with skating i decided i wanted to go home and since Summer lived close to The Berrics she walked home a while ago and i asked Chaz if Curren could drive me home since he lives a couple of apartments away from me so Chaz left and i got into Curren's car a little scared at what may happen. "I can't began to tell you how sorry i am about the bruises, i don't know what came over me, i know it wasn't because you hurt Summer, actually I don't know why I'm going out with her." He said after a few minutes of us just sitting in the chair.

"Well then why did you?" I asked carefully. "Because you wouldn't look at me, i wanted to stare into your eyes even for a fraction of a minute, i have no clue why i actually broke up with you, i know Summer was the excuse but you are the most beautiful lady I've ever met, i hate that we aren't together anymore, but i understand its for the best." He finished. "Curr, i love you and i hate that we aren't together too, but you are right its for the best if we go out separate way, like the one saying goes, if you love something let it go if it comes back it was yours if it doesn't it never was, hopefully this isn't the end for us in the future but for now it has to be." I finished saying and we were back at our apartments when i looked up. We both got out of the car and i knew this conversation was almost over. "I forgot about that saying, maybe we should do what it says, bye Tal, i guess we have to see each other around since we live a few houses down from each other." He said before he gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek before he whispered i love you still to me and walked to his door. When he was almost in his apartment i whispered i love you still too and then walked to my apartment.
