Skating and sleepovers Chapter 8

When I got home I went to Teg's bag and got all the dirty clothes and then went to where I was staying and got all of my clothes and went to the laundry room to get started, I had a book so I was reading and doing the laundry until everything was all nice and clean again, then I went back to the apartment and Cecilia was there so I asked if she was working and she was so I went with her and I was skateboarding around until Sean Malto, Ryan sheckler, Torey Pudwill, Luan Oliveria and Chaz Ortiz came and they where teaching me tricks and I was showing them the tricks that I do to win the contest i enter and it was a fun time.

After a while three guys walked into the Berrics, two blonde haired boys and a black haired girl and I skated to them as fast as I could, right when I got to them I ran into Curren and hugged him then I went to hug Ben and then I hugged Tegan. I asked them what they where doing and Tegan said "Well, Candace said that Ceci had to work and you wanted to go with her and i remeber that this is where she works so i said to these two, 'to The Berrics' and here we are." I just stared at her for a couple of minutes before attacking her with another hug and she whispered "Curren acts like a lost puppy when hes not with you, well at least thats what Ben said before today but I witnessed it for myself and its cute at first but it gets annoying fast."

I looked at Ben as if he knew what we were talking about and he nodded his head yes maybe he did know what we were talking about. Then I looked at Curren and he was now sitting on the ground so I went and sat on him and the rest of the pro skateboarders where watching us carefully then I kissed his cheek and then went to go skate some more until Ceci was done work, but Curren insisted that I ride home with them but I said that I wanted to go with Ceci, after thinking for a minute I said "maybe you can come home with us, you can hang out at Ceci and Candi's apartment then I would drive you to your apartment" "Maybe we can go and get your and Tegans things and bring them to out apartment then all you have to do is pack up and walk to your new apartment when it's time." So then I thiught for a minute, I knew what Tegan would of said but I couldn't so I said "I can't, I had to talk my parents into letting me move to Cali for skateboarding and i don't want to betray them at all right now it was part of the deal to letting me move down so early."

He had a hurt look on his face so I decided to hug him really tight and he hugged me back just as tight and we wouldn't let go. He kissed the top of my head and let go but I still wouldn't let go so he awkwardly carried me to his car then I got in the passenger side and Ben and Tegan got into the back and Curren followed Ceci back to her house and I asked Tegan if she was going but she said "Well it would be weird of I did so no, we can wait until we move then we can just go to each other's houses with no problem and these two wouldn't kill us." "They would kill us you going back with them now?" "Well yeah you should come too, just for tonight then you can come back here it's kinda weird with Curren wondering around the apartment when we are talking or doing whatever we are doing." "Actually i think i will, unless Curren wants to stay here for a bit." I gave Curren a look and he says "I'd love to stay here, but don't you sleep on the ground in one of the bedrooms Tal?"i replied "Well yeah but Tegan wont be here so we'd get the pull out couch." After i said that his lips formed a smile and we all piled into my car and went to their apartment where Curren got everything he needed to spend a few nights and we were off back to Ceci and Candi's apartment.

When we got inside Candi was crying and Ceci was in her room reading so i asked Candi what was wrong and she said that her aunt who raised her was in the hospital and she had to go back home, but she hadn't been back home since she moved and she moved from New York to win money because her and her aunt knew that he aunt would become more sick by the day, until now where she was put in the hospital.

"Do you want us to come with you?" Candi asked "Would you and Cecilia and maybe Tegan, your guys can come but they have to stay in a hotel ok?" I said "The boys don't have to come, it can just be a girls trip if I can convince Tegan to come with us." "Can we please?" I called Tegan and asked her if we could take a girls trip and she said sure, no Ben and no Curren just us four girls, when are we going because we need to move into our apartment next week and then I asked Candi if Ben and Curren could move us into our new apartment and she gave them a key when she saw them before we took off which was this morning, and now we are at the airport waiting to board our plane so we can go to New York.

When we got out of the airport there was a limo waiting for us and when we got to Candace's house we all got separate rooms on separate floors, Candi had her original floor which her Aunt's room was also on then Tegans floor was the second bedroom floor, which had a pool on it then Cecilia got the third floor and there was an arcade then i got the fourth floor with go karts so we all took turns on each others floors, the four of us doing whatever was on the floor we decided on, then there was a knock on the door and some guy was at the door with a skateboard and Candi invited him in and he went to the seventh floor so when he got on the elevator and the doors closed we asked her who he was and she shrugged and said "Oh, no one, just an old friend." Ceci piped up "He's cute, did you ever date him?" She said "Nope but i want to." We ran to the seventh floor after her sentence and the whole floor was a skate park so we ran back to our rooms and got our skateboards and i got there first so i started in the pool because that ended up being my favourite to skate. The other three girls got back to the floor and we where skating around until we all took a break with the mystery boy.

"Evan, these are my new friends," Candi started with pointing to Cecilia "That is my roommate Cecilia, that is my skateboarding friend Talia," she said pointing to me "And that is Taila's friend who i met a few weeks ago Tegan." She turned to us ams said "You three this is my friend Evan."
