Chapter 32

Luke’s P.O.V

“Are you serious?!” I jumped from my seat, catching my guitar mid air as it began to fall of the couch. I ran towards Ashton, his phone shaking in his hands as he held it. I looked over his shoulder, reading over the email their management had sent us, just to make sure it was real. Shock ran through me again, excitement bursting out of all of us as we danced around the room in unison. Fantasies of touring ran through my head, soon to become a reality. I leaped for my phone, falling on the couch face down as I grabbed it, and rolling on my back, feet in the air. There was only one person I wanted to share the excitement with right now. I tapped on the new message icon, and typed in her name, showing up automatically in my recents. My hands flew across the screen, and the smile plastering my face wasn’t going to leave anytime soon. My phone vibrated in my hands, a text from her popping up before I could send my own.

“Did you mention being in a band maybe?

Confusion and curiosity shot through me at her words, but I blew them off, assuming I had mentioned it to her sometime earlier. Excitement still pulsed through me, and I decided this was something I wanted to tell her in person.

“Yeah! and I’ve got big news, meet up later so I can tell you?”

I typed my message back quickly, and set my phone on the table beside me, as I watched the rest of the boys bounce off of the walls at the news that would change our lives.

Harry’s P.O.V

The boys continued to mumble about the tour all night and through the morning, occasionally speaking of the other artists who would be accompanying us. The name sounded unfamiliar to me, but I looked forward to meeting them, whenever our management had arranged. Louise lay on my lap, sound asleep and likely drained from our busy night, something she wasn’t quite used to yet. I ran my fingers through her dark hair, adoring her brilliance as she lay innocent and perfect on my lap, her soft breaths escaping her mouth as she slept. The sun shone lightly through the window, accenting her face magnificently as it did. I was nearly led to believe she was the light in the room, opposed to the sun, and that I was the only one who saw it. I glanced around at the boys, all of them now centered around Louis’s laptop, which seemed to be their shining light in the room right now. I let out a deep sigh, cherishing the small moment I had with Louise, without complications, without anyone else. Her face glimmered like an angel’s, and I questioned why there was no halo around her head. I chuckled at the thought, imagining her dark makeup, a skateboard in her hand, and a golden, rather crooked halo sitting atop her head. She stirred at my movement, and for a moment I tensed, before returning to stroking her hair, coaxing her back to sleep. This is home. I thought, taking in my surroundings with a smile. She is home. I corrected, and for once, I knew I was right. This was right.
