Chapter 15

Louise’s P.O.V

What felt like forever passed until one of one finally broke eye contact, leading us into a deafening silence. As Harry got out of his truck, he stayed silent, and I could see he was tense. He stepped out of the car, and closed the door, glancing back up at me for only a second. His jaw was tense, I could tell, and I could feel the energy rising up inside of me. Taking a deep breath, I clenched my fists, letting the energy finally burst out of me. “What the hell, Harry!” I yelled, catching notice of the crowds around us. Somewhat startled by my volume, Harry’s eyes shot back up from where they had been looking on the ground. Impatient, I turned on my heel and began to stomp away, leaving Harry in his place. My mind was racing, and my entire body was pulsing with anger, remembering the hurt I had felt. “Lou!” Harry yelled from behind me, urgency ringing in his voice. Ignoring him, I kept walking, letting my anger fuel each step. “Louise!” He yelled again, closer this time. “What?!” I turned quickly, ending up only inches away from Harry. He towered over me, but I glared up at him with a stern and fuming expression, keeping my stature. “Why do you keep running away from me?” He asked, his voice cracking. “Wha..” I began. “Running away from you?” I chuckled, appalled. “You’re the one who just left me alone in that hospital, I watched you leave in your truck Harry!” I rose my voice again, grabbing the attention of the people around us. “What?” Harry asks, his forehead creasing in confusion. “Oh my god, Louise” He chuckles, rubbing his hands over his face. “I wasn’t leaving Lou, I was trying to help you” He explains. “How in the…” I start, cut off when he puts a finger in the air, signaling me to wait. Impatient, I cross my arms, and wait for his explanation. “Like I said, I wasn’t leaving. I was moving my car to the front, and I was going to get us some breakfast. I wouldn’t just leave like that, even if you did push me down a flight of stairs” He finishes, a smug smile crossing his face with the last sentence. Still crossing my arms, I tap my foot, trying to think of some way to retaliate. I look up at Harry, realizing there’s no way I will have anything else to say. “Now, since that’s finally sorted out, can I take you on a real date? One that doesn’t include hitting you with my car” He laughs, and I finally take notice of his accent. His low voice almost masks it completely, but I hear the English accent weighing on his words as he speaks. Rolling my eyes, I laugh back. “Sure, and you can take me home too..again” reminding him of the first time we met. With a smug smile on my face, I begin to walk towards the parking lot again, Harry following behind me. “Great, I was hoping nobody else had asked you, because that really wouldn’t have worked out for me” he says, laughing again. Just as the words leave his mouth, I feel my phone vibrate, and as I unlock my phone, my smile disappears. “Hope I can see you soon, maybe a date? (: xx” I read the text message, and immediately know who it is. Great.
