Chapter 35
Louise's P.O.V
"Louise.. Louiseee" A rather high but charming voice rang through my ears, a hand gripped gently on my arm shaking me back and forth yanking me from my dreamless slumber. I blinked my eyes open slowly, squinting at the sunlight coming through the windows before the figure of a person, and Louis's glowing face came into my view. I sat up, rubbing my eyes as I looked around, confused. It was just Louis and I, a sharp reminder of Harry's absence as the image of him storming out ran through my mind once more. I scratched my head, wondering how horrific I looked after all the hours I'd spent in this room, not having been home for days now. I glanced down at myself, pulling on the fabric of Harry's hoodie as it engulfed me, giant compared to my tiny figure. "You look fine, darling" Louis glanced back at me from across the room, a small smirk still on his face. His hair was ruffled, as if he had just woken up as well, but he most certainly pulled it off better than I did. I brought myself to my feet and walked across the room where Louis stood, in front of a table full of pastries. I reached first for a cup, and poured myself a cup of coffee, letting the steaming liquid sooth my throat. I turned, leaning against the table as I faced Louis, whistling softly as he prepared his own breakfast. His eyes were constantly shining, smiling even if he wasn't, and I wondered how he did it, especially in such early hours of the day. He poured sugar in his tea, and turned to me, smiling once more before sipping his own beverage.
"The rest of the lads have gone home to get some sleep, but I usually stay here. I expect we'll be seeing them later today." He spoke softly, letting his lips hover over his cup.
"Later?" I asked, keeping my words to a minimum.
He glanced up at me from his drink, his eyes laughing as a small chuckle escaped his throat.
"Yes love, the gig in Bowery? Didn't I tell you?" He looked at me straight on now, looking almost concerned.
" I must not have heard you.." I scratched my head again, wondering how I'd missed something seeming so important. He chimed in again, seemingly cheerful to explain once more.
"It's for the boys! The one's we're touring with" He smiled, walking me over to the large computer screen on the main desk. "We wanted to hear them before we toured together, and I thought we could give them a little support to" He was beaming from ear to ear, obviously proud, but more excited than anything. "You know one of them right?" He asked innocently. My heart jumped at the mention of Luke, and I did my best to smile back at Louis, oblivious to the sour point he was hitting.
"Yeah" I paused, my response almost a whisper as I sipped the rest of my tea.
"Harry said you did" He grinned again, turning back to the desk and sitting down in the chair, as my heart sank to the floor. He knew, he most definitely knew. Standing behind Louis, my eyes wandered past him into the street, and further into the day, where I'd have to face not only Luke, but Harry too. A vice, that this time, I saw no way out of.
