Chapter 18

Harry’s P.O.V

“Thank you” I said to the man, handing him my money in exchange for a bright bouquet of flowers wrapped in a ribbon. Taking a quick whiff of them, I smiled, thinking of the reaction she would have when I give them to her. I began to walk back to my car, and the closer I got, the more nervous I got. Is this too much? I’ve only known her for 4 days, am I being ridiculous? Every thought raced through my mind, making my heart race faster. When I finally got back to my car, I jumped into the drivers seat, and gently set the flowers in the passenger seat next to me. Sighing, I turned my key in the ignition, and clicked play on my ipod. You’ve already got the flowers. I thought. Might as well go through with it. Shifting my truck into gear, I started towards her house, nervous as hell, but content in my decision.

Louise’s P.O.V

Pulling my shirt over my head, I heard another ding from my phone. With only one of my arms in the sleeves, I reached for my phone. “Be there in 5.(:” It read. Panicking, I struggled to put my other arm in the sleeve, and quickly ran across the hallway to find my wallet. Unaware of the dirty condition my entire house was in, I fall to the floor, tripping on a pair of shoes in my hallway. “Ow” I mumble into the floor, pulling myself back up to my knees. As I scold my own clumsiness, I carefully walk over the shoes, and into the other room to get my wallet. Walking into my bedroom, I frantically search for the pair of shoes I want to wear. After flipping over everything on the floor, destroying my closet, and messing up my bed even more than it was, I sigh in defeat. Walking back across the hallway, I nearly trip again, and look down at the shoes that sent me to the floor. “aha!” I say, reaching down and picking up the black Vans from the floor. I sit down on the floor, untying the laces to both shoes, and pull the first one over my foot. Just as I finish tieing it, the doorbell rings, and I jump to my feet. Attempting to pull my other shoe onto my foot while making my way to the door, I yell at the door to tell Luke I’m almost ready. “Hold on Luke! I’ll be there in a second!” I shout, finally getting on my other shoe, and rushing back to my room to get my bag before I head out. Finally ready, I walk to the door, and pull at the sides of my shirt, making sure I look okay before Luke sees me. Opening the door, I look up from my shirt and smile, and immediately my smile dissapears. Instead of being greeted by the bright blue eyes of the boy from the park, I’m devoured by the emerald craters, belonging to no other than Harry. Standing in front of me, is a gorgeous, tall, exuberant boy, but not the one I was expecting to see. Looking him up and down, I finally realize he’s holding flowers, and he’s dressed in a black button up, and black jeans. His hair is messy, but it’s put into perfect place, shaping his face magnificently. When I finally look at his face, his smile has disappeared, and his eyes have darkened. HIs posture loosens, and he lowers the flowers from his chest, holding them to his side with one hand. Still shocked, and lost in my thoughts of him, I’m almost startled when his low voice rumbles through my ears.

Harry looks straight at me, and in a low, gruff and almost nervous tone, he finally speaks up.

“Who’s Luke” he says, his eyes gleaming with dejection.
