Kabanata 6: Naughty patient

        HUMAKBANG palabas ng silid si Almiranda para bigyan ng oras ang mag ama na makapagusap. At mukhang ramdam din nito ang tensyon sa loob at ang pakiramdam na hindi pa tanggap ni Aurora ang kanyang presenya. Hinayaan na lang muna niya ito at mas piniling manahimik at umalis doon.

Pagkasarado ng pinto ay napabalingin ang tingin niya sa kanyang ama. Nakaupo ito sa may gilid ng kanyang hospital bed.

" Anak," anas nito. Napaiwas siya ng tingin ng makita ang guilt at pagmakaawa sa mukha nito. She never thought that this would happen...her dad finding another woman to marry with. She thought that no one can replace her mother in his heart, but sadly he did. And she forgot about it... maybe she forgot those memories that makes her broke and lost. There's a part of her that didn't want to remember those.

" W-why?" mabigat niyang bigkas dito. She wanted to get angry and shouted at him, but she can't. Anak lang siya ng kanyang ama at alam niyang kailangan din nito ng babaeng karamay sa buhay. Her mother is enough but her father wants to start a new life with other woman. Siya lang ata ang hindi pa nakaka move on sa nangyari sa Ina and she will never be.

" H-hindi ko alam kung saan ako magsisimula anak, but please Aurora listen to me carefully I don't want you to misunderstood everything," aniya.

" I misunderstood everyting because I don't understand anything that's why I'm asking you, why it's easy to you to replace my Mother? Aren't you happy with her when she's still with us?" nakatitig siya sa ama habang sinasabe iyun. Kita niya ang pagdaan ng sakit at lungkot sa mga mata nito.

" N-no, I love your Mom so much anak, she is my first love and last. But I'm too broken, I'm too lost for everything. Hindi ako naging mabuting ama sayo, hindi ko naalagaan ang kaisa-isang anak namin... naging makasarili ako. And I think that you need a mother to guide you...you are too young to understand everything that's why I came up marrying Almiranda for you to have a mother. I-im sorry anak, I did not live up to my responsibility as a father to you," tears are visible in his eyes when he spoke those words. Everything he said makes her feel heavy.

Her mother's death was the most difficult for her to accept, but her father was the one who broke down the most. She doesn't remember how her mother died, but she remembers her father crying and hugging her mother's coffin. Those are mentally flashes..wala sa sariling napahawak siya sa kanyang ulo.

" Are you okay? Is your head hurt anak? I'm sorry," mabilis itong tumayo at lumapit sa kanya.

" I-im fine dad, I understand everything now. I-im sorry if I forget that you are the one who suffered a lot of mom death—"

" Shhh it's okay Princess, you don't have to say sorry. You are too young when it happened and now you suffering from amnesia. It's my fault, I missed up everything," when she saw her father cried she wanted to cry too, but she remember Doc. Prince words.

" No dad it's not your fault, stop crying please I don't want to cry too," napalabi siya. Favio chuckled on her reaction and hug his daughter. He miss his daughter so much, nagpapasalamat siyang lumaki ito ng maayos at nakuha nito ang ugali ng kanyang yumaong asawa. He silently thank God for giving back his princess.

" I make it up to you Princess, I will stay by your side. Kami ng mama Almira mo," tumango siya sa Ama. Even though she's not comfortable with her father's new wife, she will accept her the way she accepted his father.
