3 - Evening Together

Funny story I can't currently watch owl house season 2b because I'd have to ask my parents for help with the TV provider.. so sad moments. Anyway, have more fanfic while I try to figure out how to watch the new episode(s) hehe.

Luz POV:

I grabbed Amity's hand and pulled her inside.

Monster Grill is that kinda moody restaurant where you would expect to see an old sea captain smoking his pipe or a superhero concealing a dagger under her cloak. Although that's just me so it's pretty similar to Red Lobster if you've been there in the human world. I went there for my birthday :P Accept instead of bread sticks, they give you breaded claws, which Amity talked about while we waited to be seated.

"I haven't been here in forever!" She said joyfully, "I missed their breaded claws, they have the best ones here and it's FREE!"

"I thought you were rich," I smiled playfully back at her.

"Yes, but still.. everything tastes better when it's free."

She had a point but our conversation got interrupted as a waiter came over. I hoped she would have an eye patch or a wooden leg, but as she turned the corner I saw it was—

"Viney!" said Amity all of a sudden, "I didn't know you worked here!"

How does Amity know Viney?

"Luz! Amity!" She said happily, "Good to see you both. And I started working here about a month ago."

"Oh that's neat!" Said Amity.

"Ok, how do you two know each other?"

They looked back and forth at each other till Amity said, "Oh, we met a while ago because of my.. my siblings. They uh.. were friends with Viney before I was."

"Oh makes sense."

"Now that that's settled," began Viney, "Where do you two want to sit?"

"Booth" "Table" Amity and I said at the same time.

"Table" "Oh booth." Viney just laughed as my cheeks grew warm.

"We'll just take a booth," said Amity.

I was about to say something but—"Eh!" Amity put her finger over my mouth, "I'm fine with either so we're going with the booth."

I smiled. I secretly wanted to sit at the booth. They're way comfier than the chairs. I mean guys, booths are clearly superior to chairs..

Viney smirked and started leading us to our seat. I grabbed Amity's hand and followed her.

Amity POV:

Luz took my hand which made me a bit flustered, but we followed Viney to our seat. I sat opposite from Luz. Viney drew a circle and *poof* the breaded claws were on the table—and wow did they smell smelled delicious!

"Alright you two," said Viney, "I'll leave you to your date. Another waiter will come by and take your order soon. Maybe chat later!"

"Wait.. how did you know?" I turned around to see Luz's typical confused face.

Viney rolled her eyes, "First of all it's painfully obvious, and second of all Amity's siblings already told me."

"They did!" I said, "They're in trouble later." I wanted to tell Viney!

"Try not to claw Ed's nose off this time," Viney said. We both laughed. Let's just say it was a bit of an inside joke between us.

"Bye love birds!"
