Neverland {Levi Ackerman}

Chapter 4

Fable walks into the meeting room with Levi's cup of tea to everyone already there. She sets the tea in front of the captain before sitting next to Petra.
           "Now that we're all here I want to talk about tomorrow," he says taking a sip of his tea, "obviously we have one extra person in our squad so we got to change our formation."
            Eld leans forward and says, "why can't we just keep the old formation and just put Eren in the middle."
Fable looks Levi and says, "makes sense to me but why are we going on a mission so soon after the battle in Trost?"
"I don't know I don't plan missions," Levi says looking at her.
After a while of the meeting ends, Fable gets up from her chair as Gunther comes up to her.
"Hey Fable," he says looking down at her, "can I ask you a question?"
"Ha you just did can't ask another one," she says looking up at him, "nah I'm just playing, what's up."
"I was wondering if you wanted to get some tea sometime," Gunther says rubbing his neck, "also I know how much you like to read so maybe we can go to the book shop too."
She sighs and says, "let me think about it but it seems fun."
Gunther nods and says, "of course I'll see you later."
"Come on Eren," Fable says smiling at the kid.
The two began to walk out the room before she feels Levi grab her hand.
"Wait for me outside okay," she tells Eren who nods and leaves the room.
Fable sighs and looks at Levi. "Levi, he's my friend," she says holding his hand.
"Tch your friend wants to be more than just friends," he says
"I won't let that happen okay," she says putting her hands on his arms, "you don't have anything to worry about I promise."
"What are you doing with Eren?" Levi asks pulling her closer to him.
"We're going to get horses ready for tomorrow," she says looking at him, "and then I was going to help you with your paperwork or at least keep you company."
"I would like that," he says softly placing his forehead against her's.
Fable smiles softly placing her lips against his. She feels him kiss back as he wraps his arms around her waist. She pulls away from him placing her hands on his chest.
"I gotta go watch the titan spawn," she says softly to him, "I'll see you later okay."
Levi watches the girl leave the room as Petra appears.
"Do you love her?" Petra asks him.
"What are you talking about?" he says watching.
"Do you actually love Fable or are you just toying with her?" she asks the question again, "I need to know because she's my best friend."
Levi sighs and says, "yeah I love her...I think."
"You think!?!?" Petra says looking at him.
"I mean I love her yes," Levi says hearing the girl squeal, "don't do that again."
Meanwhile, Fable walks outside to see Eren sitting in the grass. She smiles softly walking over to him.
"Hey, there kid," she says looking at him, "ready to take care of some horses."
She watches as Eren stands up from the ground. "Why does captain Levi have to be so mean?" he asks walking with beside her.
Fable giggles softly and says, "everyone thinks he's mean."
The kid looks at her. "You don't," he says.
           "I've known Levi for a while that's all," she shrugs pulling open the stable doors, "okay so basically we just got to bath and brush the horses and then clean the tack and make sure all the horse gear is ready. If you want you can start with the gear and I can do the horses."
After a few hours of bathing and brushing the horses, it was finally night. Fable sent Eren inside for the night as she put the last horse away. She walks back inside and to her room to change out of uniform putting her night dress on. She takes her hair out of the buns she had it in. She then walks barefoot to Levi's office. She knocks on the door before slowly opening it to see him standing over his desk without his shirt.
"What happened to your shirt buds?" she asks walking over to him.
"Got warm," he says softly as she wraps her arms around his waist.
"What are you doing?" she asks looking at the papers in front of them.
Levi looks at her putting his hand under her chin and says, "nothing for you to worry about." He gives her a small kiss on her lips and her forehead.
Fable let's go off him walking over to the closed window. "Why didn't you open the window if you were warm?" she asks looking at him.
"What I figured you'd like the no shirt look," he says looking up at her.
She giggles softly and says, "I do like the no shirt look. Can I open it?"
Levi smirks slightly and says, "go ahead."
Fable opens the window. She looks up at the stars and says, "there it is."
Levi chuckles a bit before sitting in the chair. "Darling there isn't real," he says.
She sighs walking over to him. "Well how do you know Neverland isn't real?" she asks sitting on his lap, "the only way you can get there is by flying."
He kisses her cheek softly and says, "I like you."
She smiles softly at him. She kisses his cheek softly laying her head against his shoulder. Levi starts working on some of his paperwork.
         "I like you too," she says softly into his neck.
         Fable closes her eyes wrapping her arms around his waist. She feels Levi shift underneath her. She snuggles closer to him kissing his neck gently before getting off of his lap.
"Where are you going?" he asks looking at her.
"I'm going to get some tea, you want some?" she asks walking over to the door.
"Please," he says turning back to his paperwork.
           Fable walks to the kitchen. She opens the door to the kitchen and let it close behind her. She grabs a couple tea cups from the shelf. She heats up some water and she prepares the tea leaves. Once the water was hot she throws the leaves into the pot. She then pours the tea, straining out the leaves, into the cups. She picks them up and walks back to Levi's office with one in each hand. She gets to his office and opens the door to see him still working on his paperwork. She sighs walking over to him. Fable kisses cheek softly after setting his tea down on his tea.
         "Thank you darling," he says taking a sip of his tea.
           Fable smiles at him before saying, "how much more do you have left?"
           "I don't know about an hour two hours maybe," he says rubbing his face looking up at her, "you can go to sleep if you want."
           "No no it's fine," she says looking at him, "I'm going to go read."
          Levi watches her head to the couch. "You should sleep," he says turning back to his paperwork.
          "You should too," she says sitting down.
          Levi sighs looking at her and sets his pen down.   He leans his head against his chair and looks at her.
         "You're not gonna go to sleep until I do," he says looking at her.
          "Oh that might be," she says sipping her tea.
           He sighs and says, "I'll do a couple more and then we can go to bed. You brat."
          Fable giggles opening her book and begins to read her next chapter. Several minutes go by and she hears Levi shut the window.
          "Ready," he says standing in front of her.
          "Yeah," she says standing up and takes his hand.
          He shuts his oil lamp off before walking out of his office holding her hand. Fable looks at ground with her head against his arm as they walk to his room which wasn't too fair away from his office. Levi opens the door to his room which smelled of tea leaves and clean air. He lets go of her hand and went to get ready for bed. Fable sets her book on his bed side table before laying down in his bed. She watches him take his boots off and then his leg belts. She closes her eyes bringing the blanket close to her face. She opens her eyes feeling the bed shift. Levi puts himself between the blanket and the bed before pulling Fable closer to him. The girl smiles closing her eyes. She nuzzles her face into his chest after she feels him place a kiss against her forehead.
"Goodnight brat," he says softly.
"Goodnight buds," she says against his chest before feeling herself drift off to sleep.
