Neverland {Levi Ackerman}

Chapter 16

The scouts ride to the group of trees Hange pointed out. Fable follows Erwin and the other scouts.
           "Be on the lookout all riders assume formation," Erwin says.
              Fable takes her horse into her group.  She rides with Historia, Connie, and Sasha by her side. She takes a look to see who the leader was and then immediately finds out it was her. She shakes it off and continues riding. She watches as red flares were fired in the distance. She just continues riding not breaking formation. Fable notices the forest getting closer.
"You guys ready?" she asks not expecting a response.
She watches as more flares get fired. She keeps her group in formation. Fable listens to Erwin and keeps moving forward. They ride towards the forest until they see a light. When Erwin told us to disperse. She takes her group to the forest. She uses the ODM to get through the forest to pinpoint the enemy's location now Hannes is the leader of their group. They stop moving when they spot Ymir in her titan form. Connie begins yelling at her for answers about where Eren was. No answers Ymir only ends up taking Historia, once she found her, in her mouth.
"Great she's working with Reiner," Fable hears Connie say as the group makes their way out of the forest just to only miss Reiner running away with Eren and now Historia.
"What are you guys waiting for get on your horses?" Hannes calls out.
Fable immediately falls onto her horse and chases after Reiner. She follows after the Armor Titan. She proceeds to close in on the armored titan. She watches as the soldiers go get Eren out of Armor Titan's mouth. She smiles gently at them knowing that they're going to be her new squad mates.
"Guys get down from there!" Hannes calls out, "Erwin is leading Titans right for us!"
Fable looks and he was right that's exactly what was happening. She hears Erwin yell scatter and that's what she did. She follows everyone up the hill with the others watching the titan blood bath.
"All soldiers charge!" Erwin commands, "This is the moment of truth mankind's fate is decided now. There's no future in between claiming these lands without Erwin and there never will be. Go recover Eren from the Armor Titan and retreat. Your heart and soul to the cause."
Fable sighs and starts her horse running to the titan pile. She then watches as a titan grabs Erwin by the arm. She continues to dodge Titan's hands while watching people die left and right. She takes her blade cutting down Titans by their ankles. She watches as they manage to get Eren.
"All soldiers retreat!" Erwin yells.
And she did just that and runs away from the scene to be blocked by titans being thrown at them. She looks back to see the Armor Titan was throwing titans.
"You gotta be fucking kidding me," she says looking back at the titan in her path.
            She looks behind her to see one following her. Fable groans slightly. She stands up on her horse and uses her gear to kill a titan or two. Everywhere Fable looks she's watching her comrades die. She flies over to another titan to kill it. Fable then watches as the Titans start running away. She looks to see they're eating the other titan. Fable runs back to her horse and gets on it. She continues to retreat with others.
             Fable gets back to headquarters and immediately goes to Levi's office. At this point, she didn't care who saw she just wanted to see. She opens the door to see him standing looking out the window.
             "Levi," she manages to get out shutting the door behind her.
             Levi turns to see Fable standing at his door. She looks like she's been through hell and back...twice. Fable quickly walks over to him throwing her arms around his neck. Once she feels his arms around her she breaks down crying. He picks her up and carries her over to the couch. Levi sits down allowing her to curl up to him.
              "Levi, I..it," she says stuttering a bit over her words.
              "Shhhhh I got you now darling," he gently says, "we talk about it later."
               Fable buries her face into his chest. She closes her eyes finally at enough peace to do so. She hears a knock on the door.
              "I'm busy," Levi calls out.
                He looks down at the girl falling asleep in his lap. Levi kisses the top of her head softly and then closes his own eyes.
