A few hours passed of Levi holding Fable. She was out cold. He was a careful gets up from the couch laying her down. He watches as she hopes her eyes slightly. "I'll be back darling," he says placing a kiss against her lips gently, "Captain duty calls." She nods lightly before closing her eyes again. Levi then leaves the room and heads to the room Erwin is being held. He opens the door to see the commander missing an arm and Pyxis. "You look like shit," he says shutting the door walking over to the open seat. The three start talking until there was another knock on the door. "Hange," Levi says looking at it, "come in." Hange opens the door and her and Connie walk into the room. "Sir this is," Hange says gesturing to the boy, "state your name." "Connie Springer, 104th cadet core," the boy says saluting. "Connie here is originally from Ragako," Hange states looking at everyone. "Ahh yes that's where the invasion seems to began correct," Pyxis says. "Yessir in fact he had collaborated a valuable piece of evidence that will support our hypothesis," they explain to everyone, "soldier if you would." Levi watches as Connie pulls out a portrait of his parents. He listens as Hange explains the hypothesis to everyone. "Come again you're saying the titans are responsible for the citizens of Ragako," Pyxis questions the whole thing. "I see so in actuality titans are actually human beings," Erwin says "Well we don't have any proof of it yet," Hange says "Great. Perfect. I've spent all this time all this energy. The things I've been craving out like carina were people," Levi says looking at the ground in disbelief. "Look we don't know for certainty," Hange says before leaving with Connie. The two were going to Ragako to make sure that the titan actually matches up with the picture. Levi watches them leave out the window. "Now what," he says turning to Erwin gasping noticing that he was smiling, "umm excuse me what's with that smile." "Oh it's nothing just seems to me we've taken one step closer," Erwin says. "Yeah some step we'll run out of people before we actually reach it we're not having a good rate of return." "Everything comes at a price. One day we'll get close enough to bear through the wall that holds the truth." Levi looks over at Erwin sighing there's no way he can tell Fable about this. The way he reacted to the fact he might have been killing people; Fable would react differently and not in a good way either. "I should be heading out Erwin," he says walking to the door. "Oh Levi," Erwin says, "don't think I don't know what's going on behind you and Wiltson. She's a great soldier by the way." Levi looks back at him and then shuts the door. He sighs heading back to his office. He reaches his office. He opens the door to see the girl still sleeping. Levi locks the door behind him and walks over to the couch. He carefully moves her so he can skip slid in underneath her. Fable smiles at his presence and opens her eyes. "How was captain duties?" she asks sitting up so he can get comfortable. "It was alright," Levi stated watching her curl back up with him. "You wanna talk about it?" she asks "No not really," he responds looking at her, "you're asking too many questions for someone hasn't slept in days." "well I missed you," she says burying her face into his chest. "Fable sleep darling," Levi says looking down at her. Fable looks up at her and kisses his lips gently. "Only if you sleep," she says quietly. "I love you Fable," he says closing his eyes. "No faking it," she says laying her head back on Levi's chest, "and I love you too." Fable lays there listening to Levi's heartbeat. "Levi," she whispers "Hmm," he mumbles with his eyes closed. "Every time I close my eyes I see people dying," she says looking at him. Levi opens his eyes and looks at hers watching as they filled the tears. He sighs. "What do you mean?" he asks knowing exactly what she means. "I see Petra's, Gunther's, Eld's, and Oluo's dead bodies. Now I see Erwin getting carried away by a titan and all of my other comrades dying, and I couldn't do anything to stop either of them," she says softly as tears start to roll down her cheeks. Levi frowns at her wiping her tears away. "And if you did try to stop them you'd be in the same boat as all of them," he says looking at her. Fable sighs looking at him and says, "that's not...nevermind." She closes her eyes again. She buries her face into his chest once more before saying, "I just want it to stop." Levi takes a deep breath not saying just tightening his hold around her. He knew exactly what she was experiencing the only difference was he has been experiencing it for years. "Close your eyes and imagine Neverland," he says gently trying to get her mind off of it. "Neverland isn't real," Fable says against his chest. Levi frown listening and says," Darling I know I said it but you're able to believe whatever you want." Fable sits up looking at him and responds, "what's the point of believing and dreaming if we're just gonna die. Every time we go outside the wall we lose more than half of the amount of soldiers we started with." He sighs cupping her face before saying, "tell me your dreams Fable." She looks down at the ground and says, "that we get married and start a family." Levi smiles gently and says, "aren't these idiots enough children to deal with." Fable giggles straddling him now and asks, "what are your dreams?" "To retire from the scouts and open a tea house with you," he says looking up at her. "Me and you?" "Me and you darling," he says kissing the back of her hand. Then he notices the burns on her hands from earlier. He looks back up at her looking at her face. Levi frowns kissing the burns slightly. "I'm sorry," he hears her say. "Fable don't be sorry about getting hurt," Levi says tucking a piece of hair behind her ear, "ideally I would like seeing you uninjured, but you being alive is hundred percent better." Fable smiles softly as Levi sits up to kiss her gently. "You don't have to worry about anything anymore I'm gonna be joining you on future missions," he states "Oh good that means you can save me now," Fable says smiling brightly "Fable," Levi says furrowing his eyebrows. "What I did kill like four maybe five titans earlier," she says softly looking, "plus I think it's hot when you do." Levi raises an eyebrow and says, "oh really?" Fable nods smirking at him. She places a kiss along his jawline. She cuddles up to him again closely her eyes. "Going to sleep?" Levi asks looking at her. "Yeah going to try too," she says feeling him kiss the top of her head. "I got you darling," he says gently, "I won't let anyone or anything hurt you okay." Fable slowly feels herself drifting off to sleep to the presence of Levi.
