The day finally comes, it is the day they take back Wall Maria. The scouts stand on the wall looking down at the people below them. Fable listens as the crowd cheers for them. She listens as Erwin shouts back at them. She smiles slightly before helping get everyone on the other side of the wall. Once everyone was over, it was head out. At night fall, they all get off there horses and walk on foot. Fable follows behind Levi when the guy next to her trips. "Slow down make sure the ground is lit," Levi says looking at the guy, "will we get there soon it's just about dawn?" "Well once we get over this mountain Shiganshina should be close by," other guy tells Levi. The group continues walking through the forest. Soon enough it was daylight, they continue to rest of the way on horseback. Once at Shiganshina, Erwin orders them to switch to ODM. Fable stands on her horse and engages her ODM gear. She flies up with everyone else to the top of the wall. She then ends to the outer gate with the others. Fable lands on the wall where Hange and Levi were already. "It's kinda strange we haven't seen any titans yet?" she asks walking over to them. "I was wondering the same thing," Hange adds. "It doesn't matter we continue with the plan," Levi says looking at them as Hange using a green flare. Fable watches as Eren changes into a titan to close off this gate. She hears Hange tell everyone to stay on a lookout. She looks around the wall. "How does it look?" Levi calls down. Both sides approved, scouts sent up green flares. Then they're off to go seal the other gate. Fable runs beside Levi. She listens to Mikasa and Eren talk before Levi interrupts. "We're not finished. You can plug the gates all you want, but they can just break them again later," he says to them, "until we've killed Reiner, Bertholdt, and whoever else maybe with them, the operation to retake Wall Maria won't be over." She uses odm gear to fly around the wall for better time and then she uses a red flare. "Red flare that's the sign to halt the mission," Fable says. "Everyone scatter and stand by on top of the wall," Hange commands. Fable nods and flies back to onto of the wall. She stands next Levi watching the other scouts begin scouring the walls. She looks at Levi just an acoustic flare was shot. "Right here the wall is hollow!" the scout says underneath them. Fable looks just as Reiner flies out of the wall stabbing the scout. Levi quickly jumps of the wall and stabs the enemy in the neck trying to kill. She then watches as Reiner transforms into the Armored Titan. Then she watches as bright lights appear behind her. "Shit," she says as the Beast titan and more titans appear. She watches as the Beast titan picks up a boulder and hurls it their way to only block the gate. She stands with Erwin and the others waiting for orders. She watches as two and three meter titan start running their way. "Dirk Squad and Marlene Squad, too! Join Klaus Squad and protect the horses at the gate!" Erwin commands, "Levi Squad and Hange Squad! I need you to take down the Armored Titan. Employ the Thunder Spears at your own discretion. Do whatever it takes to achieve your objective! This is our moment. Our chance to strike. The fate of humankind depends on this battle! Lay down your hearts and lives one final time for humanity!" Levi, Armin, and Fable start running to take out the Armored Titan. "Hey. Hold on, you three," Erwin calls to them, "Hange can lead both your squads. I'm going to need you right here, Levi." "So I'll protect the horses instead of Eren?" Levi asks "That's right. And when the chance arises you'll strike him down," Erwin says pointing to the Beast Titan, "you're the only soldier I can trust to dispatch the Beast Titan." "Understood sir," he says looking at commander, "I wasn't fast enough to finish off the Armored one earlier, but I'll atone for that by taking the Beast Titan's head." Fable looks at Levi and then at the titan then back at Levi. She then watches him jumps off the wall to help protect the horses. "Armin. I have a plan for the Armored Titan, too," Erwin says looking at the boy, "We have to win on two fronts to secure victory. I can handle one. The other, I'll leave to you and Hange." Fable was about to walk off with Armin when Erwin calls for her. "Fable he'll be okay," Erwin says looking at her. "You can't be sure of that though can you," she says still having her back turned to the commander, "he's all I have left I can't lose him too." Erwin sighs looking at her. "I can't promise you anything. All I can tell you is that he wouldn't want you thinking about him when you're fighting, you know that," he says watching as she turns around to face him, "go he knows that you love him." Fable sighs looking at Erwin and then to where Levi was at. She then goes to join Hange and the others. She listens to Armin and Hange as they make a plan. Fable then stands on a roof with Sasha and Connie, thunder spears ready. "He needs our help," Mikasa says as they watch the titan fight. "Not yet!" Hange yells, "Everything rides on our first attack! We need to wait and trust Eren to give us a good opening." Fable moves to closer rooftops keeping an eye Eren's and Reiner's fight. "Go! Now!" Hange yells She immediately moves. She quickly flies closer to the Armored Titan with the others. She aims at the titan's neck and fires. She quickly pulls the string back and moves away. She lands onto and roof before going in for round two. Fable repeats what she did the first time. This time as the explosion to the titan's neck. She lands on a roof and watches. She listens to the other's cheer. She then looks around confused. "We're not done yet the colossal titan is here," she mumbles scanning her surroundings. Fable's eyes widens as she watches the Armored Titan moves and lets out a roar. Levi hears the scream and looks back at the wall then watches as the Beast Titan throws a barrel over the wall. All he could think about in that moment was Fable. "Use your thunder spears. If we want him dead, we'll have to destroy his whole body!" Hange commands. "Hange, wait. We need to fall back for now," Armin says pointing at the barrel being hurled in their direction," see that barrel? I'm sure Bertholdt's inside! If he transforms we're done for!" Fable looks at the barrel and then moves away from the Armored Titan as fast as she can. She lands on a roof listening to Hange as they put Levi's Squad in Armin command and to protect Eren. She then watches as Armin leaves the group to negotiate with Bertholdt. Fable watches as Mikasa tries to fight him. Bertholdt then transforms. Fable holds onto Eren as the blast hits them. "Are you guys okay?" she asks the four with her afterwards "Hell if I know! Are you?" Connie asks looking at her. "Yeah Im okay," she says smiling softly. Then Armin and Mikasa joins them. "Mikasa, Armin!" Jean calls to them, "are you guys okay?" "Yeah it missed us," Mikasa says landing on the roof next to them. "Where's Hange Squad?" Jean asks "They were right underneath the blast zone,"Armin says looking at them. Fable eyes widens looking in the direction. "So you're saying the only ones survived are the seven of us?" Jean asks. She watches as the Colossal Titan destroying houses and throwing the burning remains. "Armin what do we do now? We can't just wait to get flattened by burning houses!" Jean calls to him. Fable shakes her head at the thought of Hange actually being killed. Her attention lands on Armin ready for his command. "We-we retreat," Armin tells everyone, "fall back to the commander and request new orders. To beat the Colossal Titan in a battle of attrition as planned, we have to keep our distance." "That was the plan, but think," Fable says looking at Armin, "if we let the Colossal Titan reach the wall, the others will be finished. He'll spread that fire to the houses past the gate. Our other squads will be trapped between fire and titans." "You're right," he says looking at her, "our only hope is to beat Bertholdt right now. And we won't get help. We have to do it with the people we have here." "It doesn't look like Bertholdt knows where we're at," Mikasa tells Armin. "You're right," Armin agrees watching the titan, "he's just scattering debris to turn Shiganshina into a sea of flames." "Armin! Your orders?" Connie asks as houses around them begin to get destroyed "What should we do?" Sasha asks looking at him. "Fable, can you take over of me?" he asks turning to looking at her. "What?" she responds to him. "I don't know what to do," he says looking at her, "I'm worried I'll screw up. I made a mistake thinking we could talk to Bertholdt, and look where it got us. Please Fable! You're better suited for this!" Fable sighs and says, "move. Make for the river! Everyone aboard Eren! Conserve our gas!" Everyone climbs onto Eren and Fable continues, "Eren at some point we need to get Bertholdt's attention but until then, you need to stay out of sight. Hey Armin, I'm alright with judgement calls, but I don't have some genius plan to get us out of this. In the end, you're the one we're going to be counting on."
