I'm smiling so hard, I feel like I'm turning into the Joker. I get to have this good-looking guy as my personal bodyguard! This is the power of being a villainess!
"Lady Annelise?" Dang, my name sounds so good when he says it.
"Yes?" I look at Henry to find him staring at our clasped hands. Ahhhhh! I let go immediately and blush profusely. Wait, why am I blushing? What am I, an innocent maiden? Get yourself together! I mentally slap myself.
I look to find Henry smiling a bit. His gorgeous face reflecting the light from the windows of the room, elevating his already godly appearance to otherworldly. Wait. Focus!
"You are quite an enigma." He says. I don't know what to say to that.
"Uh, um, thanks?" I stutter. He looks at me. I look away. This is a little embarrassing. His stares are way too intense for my little heart!
"What are my duties until the meeting with Second Prince Orion?"
"Ummm? I guess, if you're not busy, we could spend some time to get to know each other?" I tilt my head in thought.
"As you wish, Lady Annelise." Henry says.
"MARY!" I yell. Mary appears in the room. I completely forgot I left her outside till now.
"Yes, Lady Annelise?" Mary asks.
"Can you set up a table in the left garden for us? Set three chairs. I want to talk to you and Henry more about my plan," I ordered.
"Of course, Lady Annelise." Mary nods and leaves. I turn to Henry.
"Okay, let's talk then. I'll send Mary to come and get you when we're ready." I stand up and press against the wrinkles from my dress.
"See you later!" I wave to Henry and leave. Man, I have to go to the bathroom. I drank too much tea earlier.
